Buyer Advantage ServicesFor yachts not listed by YachtX, the YachtX Buyer Advantage program provides yacht buyers with representation when buying from non-YachtX brokers, while actually reducing commission fees. Traditional yacht brokerage commission is 10% of the gross yacht sales price – whether or not the buyer has their own broker. In essence, the buyer is paying for representation they are not receiving if they do not use a buyer broker. When buyers do bring their own brokers, their broker is typically paid 50%-60% of the total commission (5%-6% of the sales price). The YachtX Buyer Advantage program provides yacht buyers with the services listed below at a discounted fee of 4%*. YachtX does this by maintaining low operating overhead and by trading profit margin for the opportunity to sell more yachts.
