Welcome to Yachtsource

Yachtsource image My name is Bob Sherman. Whether you are buying or selling, I want you to have a great boating experience! I would like to to earn your business as your Yacht Broker. This is not unlike a job interview, so here is my background:

I started in Yacht Sales in 1987. I was a top producer at several of the better San Diego brokerages for 14 years, learning from the best of the best. I obtained my Broker's license and started "YachtSource" in 2001. With over 27 years experience and hundreds of transactions to date, I have maintained an excellent reputation as one of the "good guys" in the industry. I sell boats all over the continent. Whether buying or selling, I can put this knowledge and experience to work for you!

A native San Diegan, I grew up in a sailing family, and sailing has been a passion my whole life. I started teaching at the age of 18, and became a USCG licensed Captain in 1982, at the age of 21. I hold a 100-ton Master's Certificate, and regularly use my license for corporate charter regattas. I am qualified to teach on sail or power boats. As a former Realtor with Coldwell Banker, I have enhanced training and skills that are parallel to the Yacht Brokerage industry. I am an avid scuba diver, and owned a 38 foot sailboat for six years. While I now sell more power boats than sail, sailing and sailboat racing remains my passion.

I am a member in good standing with the California Yacht Broker's Association, which has high ethical standards. I utilize the CYBA contracts in my transactions, which offer the best protection for my clients. I regularly attend CYBA legal seminars to keep current on the latest issues and concerns.

I will provide you with the highest level of service, before, during, and after the sale. I want to share my expertise, and assist you making sound, educated decisions. If you are looking for a yacht broker who is friendly, honest, hard working, knowledgeable and enthusiastic, you need look no further. I encourage you to explore the additional links on my website, which you may find quite useful...especially to San Diego sailors and boaters!

JUST LISTED AND PRICED TO SELL!

This is a rare DIESEL powered Bluewater motoryacht. With her 300 HP Cummins diesels, she has power to spare. She is very clean and has two staterooms, each with private heads. Master head has a bathtub. The single-level floorplan includes the salon, galley, master stateroom, and cockpit. The guest stateroom forward is down 3 steps. The expansive flybridge can accommodate a large crowd for a party or cocktail cruise.

The slip is transferable at a prime Harbor Island Marina!  Marina tenants have full access to a 4-star resort hotel, where amenities include two pools, jacuzzi, poolside bar, health club, tennis courts, and bike rentals. A full-service spa is available. Marina tenants receive a 20% discount on food and beverages, and a hotel shuttle services the airport.

2011 upgrades include: New sofa, barrel chairs, ottomans and dinette table with 4 chairs, bedspreads and curtains.

2102 upgrades include new electric heads and waste lines.

2013 upgrades include new flat screen 42" TV, DVD player, flybridge cushions and bow cushions.

2014 upgrades include new refrigerator, mini-blinds, eisenglass enclosure on flybridge, bottom paint, engine service including oil change, fuel filter change, belts, and more.

"Legacy 1" would make a fine "home away from home", with comfortable living space and resort level amenities ashore, for a very affordable price. She would make a great party boat or cocktail cruiser, and a coastal cruiser in mild sea conditions.
