Thank you for visiting YachtSmart online.
2008 turned out to be busier than we thought it would. Our sales were up in two areas we had not anticipated. The Euro was very strong against the US dollar, so we had many European buyers. So many, that we have developed systems for getting our yachts to Europe as quickly as possible. Secondly, in a tough economy, the "toys" are usually the first thing to go, so we have had many sellers approach us to auction their yachts. Our Ebay program was busy in 2008. It is a great way to sell NOW, and stop the outflow of money. We have fine tuned our Ebay program so well that other companies are asking us to train them. 2009 promises to be a year of challenges. With the new administration in Washington, we are looking forward to new ideas. We plan to make 2009 a growth year for YachtSmart, and add several new offices, and salespeople. We have learned that we can sell yachts in any economy! In 2009 we are adding ship brokerage to our menu of services. We have several "ship saavy" brokers onboard already. The home office of YachtSmart is located at Taylor's Landing Marine Center on Shore Drive in Norfolk, Virginia. We also have offices in the Oriental North Carolina area, and Myrtle Beach South Carolina. We specialize in marketing sail,motor yachts,and ships; and we serve the entire Mid-Atlantic region.
