Thank You Notes

Circe is now safely tied up in Havre de Grace, MD.
I just wanted to thank you and everyone else at
Winter's / Riverside for making my stay there
so easy. It was 4 years since the last time I spent
the winter there but everything was the same.

The people were friendly and helpful and access to work
on my boat was great. Next time I need a winter haul
I'll be sure to call and I would not think twice about
recommending Winter's.

The only complaint I have is having to drive past the
new Beneteaus on the way to my boat. They are just
beautiful and I just wish I had the bucks to buy one.
Oh well, when I hit the lottery ....

Thanks again for everything.

Hi Don,

It's been 2 seasons since we bought our 2003 Beneteau 36.7 through G.
Winters. The boat, now named Julep, was just hauled and winterized. I
thought I would send along an update.

Our first year was kind of light with a number of conflicting activities but we had our last sail of the season on New Years Day 2011. When we launched in the spring, we committed to a weekly excursion, usually on Wednesdays when we would watch the club racing on Herring Bay. My son and I did a couple of double handed races on the weekends and I think he has the bug. In our first race, the wind was extremely light and we had a hard time crossing the starting line. When the Frostbite series rolled around, we made it out to all 6 races. Our best result was a third.
After crewing on a 36.7 for 4 years, it is amazing what I've learned since taking the wheel. It's really great when I find the groove and it takes off. During the Frostbites, we got several comments regarding how the fast boats were not getting away from us and the slow boats weren't looking for us anymore. I hope the Class on the Chesapeake holds together so that we can try that in a few years. There will be 3 or 4 in our club next year but they all will be Spinnaker and I don't have crew or sails for that yet.
We've replaced most of the canvas (sail cover, dodger, wheel cover) but the sails are doing OK. We had a lot of wind for the frostbites so I learned a lot about some of the functionality of the Neil Pryde sails.
There aren't any current plans for new sails but I'd love to get a class set some day. I'm starting to replace some of the running rigging to prevent a blowout at some point.
We haven't done any cruising really but have enjoyed our time at the dock with the AC and heat from the heat pump. Sleepovers have been very comfortable. We unhooked most of the cable from the LCD and figured out how to connect it to a laptop for DVD and internet. I'd like to get some nav software for it but its not really necessary for what we do.

We get notes from G. Winters from time to time. I don't think we will be changing boat any time soon. Julep is just right for us. If you are down here in the summer and would like a ride, just let me know. I really appreciate all that you did to help us get into the boat. Have a great winter boat show season.

Best Regards,
Mark Burrows

Brian, Bruce --

The engine repair on Sea Symphony was completed last week, Yanmar covered it as a warranty item. I was very impressed at how efficient the Yanmar folks were, both the local service rep as well as the central office that coordinated things. I am glad to have a Yanmar engine in Sea Symphony!

All in all, it was great to have our first full season on the water with Sea Symphony. The Expo has been a lot of fun, too -- I've attached a photo of the kids putting it through its paces. Feel free to include this on the
Winter Sailing website if you like!

Best --

Dear Brian,

We would like to express our extreme pleasure and satisfaction with the purchase of our Beneteau 43 from G. Winterís Sailing Center. This is our first sailboat, and as new owners, I must say that our experience with the G. Wintersí organization was first class! Your sales, support and service personnel made us feel like we were your only customer. When we talk with others and read about your business in various online forums, we find similar opinions. I must applaud the genuine commitment to your customers. A standing ovation is in order!

G. Winterís employees are top notch. Walt has to be the best gel coat repairman around! Bob is great with all the Beneteau electronics and Bruce frequently amazed us with his knowledge of all components making up our boat. The orientation, training and delivery with Gerry and Don were unbelievable. They were very thorough and patient with us as new sailors. Your entire team is superior!

The introduction into owning a Beneteau made our first season awesome! With a tremendous support team behind us, I am sure we will have many enjoyable years to come.

Hi Nikki---5-2010

Our boat delivery captain Mike Pinto is a real professional in addition to being a nice guy. He did a great job. He will finish the trip to Forked River tomorrow.

I want to thank you, Bruce and Don for all your help getting us launched etc., and also all the guys who worked on my boat, including Walt, Bob, and Kevin. The Garmin that Bob put in the boat worked great, and I for one and I'm sure Mike too, was glad we had it, coming into Cape May canal from Delaware Bay at midnight with dredging operations underway in the canal. The boat and engine
performed great, although no sailing due to the length of the trip, and wind direction.
I am very pleased with my boat buying experience at Winters through Don Hoefle and all the pre-launch work I had done at Riverside Marina. I feel the work was done very professionally and competently and the price was reasonable and appropriate for the work performed.
I also enjoyed meeting all of you. Thanks again.

Best regards, Tom Mannion

Dr. Mr. Winter

Please allow me the opportunity to thank G.Winter's Sailing Center for all your assistance in conducting a New Jersey State Police Safe Boating class for 19 students conducted on May 16, 2009. The US Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 13-07 applauds G.Winter's Sailing Center's commitment to Safe Boating. You were kind enough to provide a location, equipment and refreshments for this class. Your staff was of great help in organizing the class. Through your kind help and assistance, we have 19 boaters who are safer today than they were before Saturday's class.

We would especially like to thank Tish who was our contact person. She kept in contact with us and was a focal point to bringing all the parts of the class together. We would also like to thank Nancy who continued to support us during the class.

Our Flotilla is looking forward to a continued relationship with G.Winter's Sailing Center. We would like very much to continue providing educational services as needed. Currently, we are teaching classes in Safe Boating, Sailing and Navigation. Please contact Bob Kanzler at 215-656-7262 for more information or to schedule classes.

On behalf of our Flotilla, again thank you for your assistance.

Dear Brian:
I am writing this letter regarding my recent purchase and delivery of a Catalina 309.
The entire experience with you and everyone at G.Winter's has been fantastic. You are all extremely warm and friendly making one feel "part of the family". Each and every promise you made was kept and the quality of your work is outstanding! The delivery process was fun and extremely thorough.
It is a rare experience wherein a person truly feels that they are cared about "after the sale is made".
I enthusiastically recommend you and everyone at G.Winter's to friends, colleagues and patients.
Please do not hesitate to use me as a reference for any potential customers or advertising in the future.
With warm regards to you, your family and everyone at G.Winter's.

***I've been doing business with them for 23 years. I'm treated very well. This is my 3rd boat from them. ~David & Marjorie Garfield

***This is by far the best delivery of all the other boats I have purchased from them. They are getting better. In fact, the young man who delivered the boat called me on the weekend while he was away at a wedding! ~Donna & Frank Brearley

***Back in 2002 I was looking around for a Beneteau in the area and Brian had called me on the phone. When I hung up I told my wife that was who I was going to buy my Beneteau from. I liked his approach. I bought one back then and I just upgraded to a 2008! I would definitely recommend them. I like the yard and Brian is the main reason I go back to Winter's. ~Denis Commette

***Don was great and very helpful through the whole process. ~David Dugan

***I give both Brian and Don 6 Stars! I give the dealer an A+ on the preparation of the boat.
~Ralph & Denise Marchese

***Oh yes, they were all extremely kind and nice, Brian and the rest of the staff. It was a horrible wet day that I went to pick it up and they all could not have been kinder. They are just a good bunch all around. ~Philip Hamblett

***Good, everyone was real nice. ~David & Lynne Hutchinson

***We are happy with how Winter's has handled everything. ~Nicholas Nuzzie

***Don was excellent. He did a fine job and answered all my questions. ~Paul DiPietro

Don, I just wanted to let you know the work that was done on my boat is extremely clean and I am impressed by it. Although I havenít had a chance to weight it yet, visually both inside and out there is virtually no sign of damage. Once payment was squared away, the work was done quickly and I was able to get back onto the water in a reasonable amount of time. I would like to ask for Walt Naisbys e-mail or contact information so that I can thank him as well. I will certainly hold onto your information for future needs. -Bart

Hi Bruce
Thanks so much for your attention to this matter and every concern that I have brought to you.
I must say it has been a pleasure to deal with you, and that this kind of excellent service deserves recognition!! I can not say enough good things about my experience at Winter's Sailing center.
Kathy & I were at the Annapolis boat show this weekend and I don't believe the 323 will be the last boat that we purchase from you!!

Chuck & Kathy McGowan

Remember that you said new sails come in a small box ?
Well, it turns out that NP sent me a new sail! That was a nice shock. The batten pockets are finished off in a much better way. It does result in more cloth, but it still rolls in with just a bit of hesitation at the battens and that might be eliminated after some use.
Thanks for the help on this!
Jon (reporting from Silicon Valley)

Just got to Bermuda and the package had just arrived at the marina. Getting this part at this stage of our trip could have been an absolute nightmare but we are fortunate to have you, always ready with a solution.
Thanks again for making this so easy for us!

Hi Bruce

I just wanted to tell you that the boat was launched yesterday. The painting of the water line stripe was completed last Monday and I was very pleased with the results.

I wanted to wait to make sure that the stripe held up to the stress from the lifting slings before I contacted you.

I appreciate your efforts to resolve this warranty matter.

I have "painting in progress "pictures if you need them for Beneteau.

Thanks for you attention to my issues. I am very pleased with the 323 and I can not say enough good things about the service I have received from the Winter sailing group.

Because of the recent weather, it took a while but we are now settled in our slip in Bay Head. I just wanted to let you
know how happy we are with Winters Sailing Center and the new 46. The substantial electronic and other installations
done by Bob were first class in every respect and all operated to expectations throughout the trip. The 46 sailed
magnificently in heavy weather, very stable and balanced. The addition of Jason to the team was a great move and we
found him to be extremely competent and conscientious with the result that the launch and checkout was completed well
before May 1 as well as the short hit list. You have a great team and product and Carol and I thank you all your help and attention.

Hi Tish,

I like the first picture also, its a better picture of the boat. We had a safe but long trip home. The boats new
home will be on Lake Sunapee in NH.

I was very pleased will my dealings with Don. He is a very honest person and a good representative for your
company. He followed up on all my questions and requests and made the long distance deal work.

It was a pleasant experience doing business with Winter,s Sailing Center and I will tell my Pfizer friends in the
area about it...... Please forward this to Don's boss.

Just wanted to thank you for getting that job in before we leave on Sunday. We drove down after work
yesterday to unload all our food and stuff and noticed the radio and the lights were repaired.

I'm enclosing a copy of a letter that I faxed to Beneteau a few months ago as I'm not sure if they share
everything with the dealer.

Talk to you soon,

Beneteau USA

Now that we have enjoyed our first season with our Beneteau 423 (commissioned May of 2006)
we just wanted to send you a short note letting you know how pleased we are with the level of
service we have received from Winters Sailing Center in Riverside, NJ. During our first year of
ownership we experience failures with water heater, forward shower, windlass and a leaking port;
all on separate occasions and every time we called their service department the unit was replaced,
repaired or a part shipped always within two weeks of our contacting them. Although we had
commented to in the survey you sent us that we were disappointed in the length of time it took them
to commission the boat; ever since we've left their docks their service dept. has been just great and
should be commended.

Larry and I wanted to take a moment to thank you for all that you have done for us. We can
honestly say that this boat purchase has gone far smoother than we could imagine it would Ė
largely due to you! You and the entire staff at Winterís have spoiled us and now we must face
back home in Sea Bright! We have appreciated your responsiveness when we needed something
Ė and it seemed like we always needed something. We are excited to enjoy the rest of the season
with ďHis MinkĒ. We would certainly recommend you to our friends we meet while sailing.

Thanks and take care!

Hi Brian,

First of all, thank you so much for your wonderful sales service with our choice on our second
sailboat. Keep up the good work! Our boat is awesome and we are sure to be sailing a lot this
summer and many more.

Also, we would like to thank jerry for an awesome job as our "Captain" on our 3 day voyage back
to Raritan Yacht Club. We learned a lot from him when it comes to maintaining our boat. He did an
excellent job!

Dear Don and Brian,

On Saturday we spent our first night on Whisper. When we bought our Beneteau 331 at your
dealership in 2003, we were more than happy with our choice of G. Winter Sailing. Now with our
new Beneteau 373 in 2006, we confirmed our first impressions.

Your patience and willingness to accommodate all our crazy wishes is appreciated. Your effort to
get us the best deal and making the closing and commissioning as painless as possible has proven
that you really do have our best wishes in mind.

We saw the photo of Shakeh and I on board on your web site. The boat looks great and all three
of us are looking forward to the 2006 cruising season.

Please extend our thanks to everyone at G Winter, we will see you again before the boat is
delivered to our home port and will stay in touch.

Stay well and thanks,

Jerry, Shakeh and Kylie Sapienza

Dear Glenn & Brian

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank you and
your sales staff, specifically Don and Gary for the
great experience in buying our 36mkII. This was our
second purchase in three years and Marilyn and I are
extremely happy with our decision to let your work for
us again in finding just the right boat for us.

Being in a service business myself I know the importance
of satisfied customers. They tend to come back again
and again when kept happy. It's obvious that your
company has not lost sight of its mission. You
remembered that you are primarily in the "people
business" and you also just happen to sell boats. What
a marvelous combination.

Based on this, I have recommended customers to you and
will keep doing so in the future. Thank you again and
keep smiling.

On behalf of Linda and me, I want to thank you, Glen, Brian, Nancy and all
of the staff at G. Winter Sailing Center for organizing and implementing the
"OUTSTANDING" Winter Rendezvous for Sailors which you held on January 15th,
2005. It was REALLY, REALLY, REALLY GREAT!!! All of the seminars were
extremely beneficial. I learned lots about gelcoat repair / maintenance,
picked up some tips on engine self maintenance and learned about the new
Raymarine gadgets that we all simply "gotta" have!!

Also, the raffles and vendor tables were well organized and properly
staffed. Then, on top of it all, you had a wonderful buffet for us with live
music as well!! You all thought of everything. The customer driven focus of
G. Winter Sailing Center is, I believe, at the heart of your organization's
great success. I'm happy to be part of the G. Winter Sailing Center Family
and we look forward to a continued, long term, relationship. Please pass on
my deepest thanks and warmest regards to Glen, Brian, Nancy, Don, Bruce,
Tish, Jason, Joe and everyone there.

You gave us all a good 'sailing fix' just when we needed it - in the middle
of winter. Thanks again, Kristin!!

RE: Delran High School Ice Hockey Club

On behalf of the students and parents of the Delran
High School Ice Hockey Club, I want to thank you for
the contributions, the Club was able to reduce the
financial burden to the students and parents. This
reduction directly made the difference for families to
allow their son to participate. This is extremely
important today given the many social challenges that
our youth face. Team sports are very positive
activities that help our youth make good life choices.

Again, thank you for this much needed support.

Very truly yours,

Just want to thank you for a great time on Saturday.
The Winter Rendezvous for Sailors was just what we
needed during this dull winter months of no boat to
sail. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed the time
talking to some of our old boating friends and meeting
a few new ones.

We attended all the Seminars for the day adn came away
with new knowledge from each one.

Also, the Cocktail Party and appetizers could not had
been nicer. Afterwards, we shared dinner with John
and Honey Funston which was a great ending to the day.

Please share our thank you and appreciation to your
staff for a job well done.
