Catalina News

Kent Little, sailing a new Catalina 355 took a second in his class ,out of 29 boats, at the Harvest Moon Regatta in Texas. The race course is in the Gulf and starts at Galveston and ends at Port Aransas Texas. The race attracts boats of all sizes and this year fleet was over 200 boats. Kent's average over 150 miles was 6.5 knots, making the course in 1 day, 6 hours.

A great job by the Little Yacht Sales personnel, the newest Catalina dealer in Texas. Kent also won the manufactures trophy for the first Catalina to finish. Like Kent said this morning, "The marketing potential for this finish will turn into a lot of new boat sales for our dealership, everyone wanted to visit the boat after the race to see this new model. I could have not asked for such a great opportunity to promote the 355. At one time we were hitting over 10 knots with the kite up."
