Welcome to Windy City Yacht Brokerage, LLC
Windy City Yacht Brokerage, LLC was founded by Jeff Pierce.
His intent is to bring a very high level of service and marketing to the larger boat owners in Chicago. Listings are published in Yacht World and BoatTraderOnline.com. Since January, 2005, Virtual Tours of each listing over 40' are also provided. Listings are also advertised monthly in Lakeland Boating.

Jeff has a long history as a boater, beginning early in childhood learning how to sail and water ski at the family cottage in northern Wisconsin. When his children were young, he taught them water skiing with an 18’ speed boat. For five years he owned a 27’ Sea Ray that was used on the Fox Lake chain. This was followed by a 37’ Sea Ray in Burnham Harbor. In the late 90s he spent two years researching boats in the 60’ to 70’ range. Jeff's latest project was purchasing a 52' Jefferson in a bank repossession. It had been abandoned for 4 years and he spent two years totally rehabbing her.
He became a broker after 35 years of sales and sales management in the computer and networking industries. During those 35 years Jeff continually won awards as a top performer. Becoming a yacht broker is as much a fulfillment of a passion as a desire to help people find just the right boat to make their lives happier and more meaningful.
Jeff is a previous Board member of the Chicago Yacht Club and member of their Power Fleet Committee. He is also a member of the Yacht Brokers Association of America. In July, 2007, Jeff received a Florida salesman license--one of the very few brokers in the upper Midwest to have done so. He has an Electrical Engineering degree from Purdue and an MBA from the Univ. of Chicago. He resides in Chicago, IL.
