New for 2007/ 2008 - Rodman Muse 44



The Rodman Muse 74 and 44 were premiered globally at the Barcelona International Boat Show on 3-11th November. The Rodman Muse 74, is the largest and most refined leisure yacht built by Rodman to date, and the Rodman Muse 44 is the new entry-level model of the new Muse range, which will stretch to models over 100 feet in length.

The Rodman Muse range, created for very specific, demanding markets, was introduced at the 2006 Barcelona Boat Show to great success with the Rodman Muse 54, whose 2007 production was sold out by the end of the event.

This new Rodman range, designed by Fulvio De Simoni, has gained international renown, having recently received the prize “Best Development Project” award at the “World Yacht Trophies 2007” in Cannes, when the Rodman Muse 54 was runner-up in three of the four categories of the fly-bridge competition winning the same number of awards as the Mangusta 165 and Azimut 103 S.

EUROPEAN YACHT OF THE YEAR 2007

The Elan 340, new to the performance range has been voted European Yacht of the Year for 2007 in the 10m class

This is a serious accolade for Elan who won the same category last year with the cruising Impression 344.

A jury of 10 European boating magazines from 10 countries elected the Elan Impression 344 The European Boat of the Year 2006 in the 10 metre category during the first day of the Dusseldorf boat show 2006.

The Elan Impression 434, a real success story for Elan.


With around 250 boats sold since the launch in 2004, the Impression 434 has really lived up to her name and made a serious impression on the European Market.

Now we have a number of boats in use in Ireland by their owners, feedback has been excellent. THE NEW LOOK RODMAN 1250

The 1250 by Rodman is a distinctive sports fishing boat that has the style and finish of a pedigree cruiser. Based on the Rodman rugged 12m hull it has the sea keeping qualities of its sister-ships - built as patrol boats, customs launches etc.

Rodman have been building boats for over 30 years. They were one of the first European Boatyards to achieve ISO-9001 quality certificates and all boats are both CE and Lloyds approved.

The 1250's safe walk around deck and spacious working cockpit make it ideal for the sports fisherman.

With ongoing work between Rodman, the Irish Department of Marine and the All Ireland Agents Whiterock Yachts Ltd. The boat can now be built to P5 certificate level. This makes the R1250 the only production boat built to this standard and at a competitive price.

Peter McAuley from Ballycarry can proudly say that he is the only man ever to land a Blue Fin Tuna in Northern Irish Waters using a Rod and Line.

Perhaps more impressively he managed to do this single-handed ! The 319lb Atlantic Blue Fin Tuna put up a considerable fight but after about 45 minutes Peter managed to drag the fish in through the back door of the boat - no mean feat.

Peter told us "I was standing eating toast when a very large Tuna, probably over 1000lbs jumped out of the water beside the boat. Just a few seconds later, the rod went mad, I had hooked one!"
