CHASSEUR is a very special Little Harbor 54. She was built for a well known New England yachtsman who planned to participate in major offshore races. CHASSEUR was designed to carry a triple spreader Hall racing spar nearly four feet taller than her sister ships. An additional eighteen hundred pounds of ballast was added to produce a stiffer boat while carrying her more powerful sail plan. All this combined to make a comfortable cruising boat and a potent contender in long distance racing. In 2001 her, then new owners, gave her a new inventory of sails and a leisure furl boon for ease of sail handling. In 2008/09, her present owners gave her an extensive refit in preparation for a family cruise from which they have just returned. CHASSEUR is not only a special boat, but also a boat that is in especially good condition and ready to delight her next owner.
