CHUCK GRICE, President and Owner, grew up in Maryland and as a child, his parents inspired in him a lifelong love of boating. He graduated from Villanova University with a B.S. in Marketing, and started in the boating business in 1981. After being a sales manager for a Viking Yacht dealer in Annapolis, Maryland, and then a Viking-Hatteras dealer in Hampton, Virginia, he opened Virginia Yacht Brokers in 1989. Chuck feels new boat dealers who sell used boats simply cannot make the sale of their used boats a priority. All too concerned with day-to-day floorplan expenses, problems relating to service, and inventory obligations from the manufacturer, these dealers have no time or energy to effectively market brokerage boats. Virginia Yacht Brokers only sells brokerage boats. This is yacht brokerage done right! Chuck lives in Virginia Beach with his wife Kelsey, daughter McKenzie, a senior at the University of Miami and a Miami Dolphin Cheerleader and son Parker, a sophomore at High Point University. BOB STARR grew up on the Jersey Shore and was introduced to boating at a young age. A graduate of the University of South Florida, Bob holds two masters degrees. As a career Naval officer, Bob served his last tour of duty at the U.S. Naval War College in Newport, Rhode Island. Upon retirement he relocated to Virginia, where he managed one of the largest marina resorts on the lower Chesapeake Bay. Bob's progression from a top-notch marina to a professional yacht brokerage firm was natural and is a perfect match. His knowledge of boating, combined with his low-key personality, makes him one of the finest brokers you will ever meet. Bob's congenial demeanor, attention to detail and genuine concern for his clients have led to his success. Bob lives in Virginia Beach with his wife Geri, their son Matt is a coastal scientist in Florida, and their daughter Brooke is a senior at Virginia Tech. JASON STROSNIDER was born and raised in Luray, Virginia in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley. He graduated from Bridgewater College with a B.S. in Biology and then graduated from the Medical College of Virginia with a B.S. in Pharmacy. After 13 years of managing a retail pharmacy, he decided that it was time for a change. He became a dockmaster at Atlantic Yacht Basin and his friendly, energetic personality made AYB a favorite stop among boaters on the waterway. His transition from dockmaster to yacht broker was natural and seamless. Jason lives in Chesapeake, Virginia with his wife Marci and his two daughters Kassidy and Kamryn. JEN TYLER grew up in Virginia Beach and graduated from Virginia Tech with a B.S. in Psychology. She built a career as a Senior Technical Recruiter with an international recruiting firm in Northern Virginia and quickly became a top producer for them. Yearning to return to Virginia Beach for a better quality of life and to be close to her family, she purchased a home. As our Office Manager she is responsible for handling the day to day operations of our business as well as photographing all of our brokerage boats. Her attention to detail is incredible.
