  • ATTENTION: This is not a project boat!

  •  This Hunter 410 is a fast, dry and comfortable offshore yacht with a CE Category A - "Ocean" certification. The original owner commissioned the vessel in Vancouver, BC and sailed from a local marina. The second owner moved her to a marina in Nanaimo on the East Coast of Vancouver Island. The current owner purchased the vessel in June 2011 and sailed to Anacortes, WA. She was hauled out and spent two months in a ship yard. Every system was inspected; components that failed inspection were either repaired or replaced. The bottom paint was sanded down to gelcoat; there are no blisters. New barrier coat and bottom paint was applied. The rudder was removed and  replaced with a new rudder that has a Stainless Steel post. The fixed 3 blade prop was replaced with a folding 3 blade prop which has increased motoring speed 1/2 knot and sailing speed by 1 knot. All the standing and running rigging have been replaced. The electronics were replaced with new Simrad equipment. The 2 heads were removed and replaced with electric-powered fresh water flush heads. New sails were purchased. She was sailed from Anacortes to San Francisco and then to San Diego. The passage from San Diego to Cabo San Lucas was with the Baja Ha-Ha Rally. Puerto Vallarta on Banderas Bay was reached in November 2011. She has been in a Banderas Bay marina with day sails and an occasional local club race up to the present time. When anchored or in a marina slip, the large cockpit will easily accommodate 10 people. Banderas Bay is an outstanding sailing venue. National and  international sailing regattas are held in the bay year around. The Vallarta Yacht Club has a very active junior sailing program with world class instructors. From November until June the sun shines with an occasional rain shower. The prime sailing season is from January to the middle of May with a daily air temperature range of 60-80* F with rare sprinkles. Water temperature averages 80* F. During this time the wind starts to build around noon reaching 12-18 knots by sundown. Banderas Bay is a natural hurricane hole. Patricia, a category 5 hurricane with winds over 200 MPH, made landfall in October 2015 about 110 miles South of the marina; there was no wind damage and very little rain in Banderas Bay. Just in case you have not noticed, the US dollar has appreciated relative to the MXN pesos around 25% in the past year. Mexico and this Hunter 410 are on sale now.
