Allan’s lifelong passion for sailing led him into the marine industry after a successful 20 year career in advertising and film production, which he left in 2001. He purchased an old C&C 29 and spent a few years sailing and racing full time. In 2005 he and his crew ended the season with a first place finish in the LORC racing series.
Allan’s professional life since then focused on the marine industry, both in a sales capacity and in the instructional arena. Allan founded AM Yachts, a yacht brokerage and sail training business. Allan is a qualified CYA Instructor for both sail and power boats as well as coast guard certified to teach PCOC and marine radio courses. He has shares his passion for the nautical life by teaching at Humber Sailing Centre whenever he can find the time.
Allan joined Angus Yachts In 2007 as Sales Consultant and Yacht Broker. In 2008 Allan earned his Certified Professional Yacht Broker designation and won the Rookie-of -the-Year award as the top first year salesperson for Hunter Marine worldwide. He also ranked 7th overall in sales worldwide. Allan is an active member of the Ashbridges Bay Yacht Club where he sits on the membership committee. In 2009, Allan and two partners opened True North Yachts, the Ontario dealer for Hunter Marine.

Jamie Crane, CPYB, Senior Sales Consultant
Born in Newfoundland Jamie has worked in the boat building and marine industries for more than 27 years and has been sailing since the early age of about 12. Most of his early experiences were spent sailing in and around Newfoundland as well as two trips to Newfoundland from Ontario. Once in the 1997 John Cabot Flotilla to celibate the 500 anniversary of the discovery of North America and another in 1989 as part of a delivery crew. Also included in his resume are two memorable trips to the Labrador Sea aboard the 70 schooner DOWN NORTH. He has also crossed the Gulf of Mexico (Texas to Mexico) sailed most of Georgian Bay, the North Channel, Lake Ontario, Bermuda and the Leeward Islands, BVI’s, US Virgin Islands: St. Martens, St. John, St. Thomas, St. Croix, Culebra Islands, Antigua, Dominica, Martinique, St. Lucia, Bequia, The Grenadines to Trinidad as well as in India .
He has also raced at RCYC, NYC (Also a member) in Toronto as well as Youngstown NY and the BVI.
As well, Jamie has more than 15 years as a boat builder in Newfoundland where he built as well as designed boats for various: work, pleasure, jet, power, pontoon and other aluminum boats for North Atlantic and Central American use.
In the off season, sailing the Caribbean aboard Moma Cocha the family’s Lagoon 410 is full of adventure.
Jamie holds a Bachelors degree as well as post degree studies in business and marketing as well as studies in computer science.
Winner of several top 10 awards as well as the #3 Sales position for Hunter Marine - Large boat division - for 2005 for North America.
Jamie has extensive knowledge and experience in assisting clients in choosing and outfitting boats for recreation sailing as well as far-reaching cruising.

Andrew Newbury, BOCP, Sales Consultant/ SailTime base manager
Andrew has been a sailor his entire life, he spent his summers cruising with his family up and down Lake Ontario or up north teaching sailing at a summer camp. He is an active member of RCYC whether its racing J/24s and 8-metres or out on the doubles squash court. Andrew also enjoys long distance sailing having completed three Lake Ontario 300 races in the Double Handed White Sail division.
One of his biggest sailing achievements was assisting with a yacht delivery of an Oyster 485 from southern Spain to the Canary Islands. Andrew has also spent many summers teaching sailing at a summer camp. Andrew holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from Dalhousie University in Halifax and recently attained his Boating Ontario Certified Professional designation.
