65' Donzi 65 Sportfish
"Dixie" is a 65 Donzi Convertible Sportfisherman built by Roscioli International to the highest standards in 1988. It underwent a COMPLETE REFIT INCLUDING NEW CATERPILLAR ENGINES IN 2000/2001.
A capable battlewagon in any sea conditions with a full Pipewelders tuna tower and enclosed command bridge, she is also a comfortable Pacific Northwest cruising yacht that has run up the west coast and cruised around Vancouver Island.
With the wide beam and deep hull this boat presents as much bigger and more powerful than significantly larger boats. The accommodations include master stateroom, guest stateroom and crew quarters; all with ensuite heads and showers. The main salon has an L-shaped lounge to starboard with electric hi/lo table and entertainment center opposite to port. The galley is to port forward, with an island bar arrangement and 4 custom stools.
Notable features include the huge cockpit with transom door and full width swim grid; the custom chocks on the foredeck that can handle the dinghy or a pair of Sea Doos; the fully enclosed tournament bridge that can easily handle a large party. There are many well thought through ideas coupled with custom construction, refitting and maintenance.
The boat underwent a full rebuild in 2000/2001 where the engines were replaced with new 1350 hp Caterpillars and the interior was completely gutted and redone. Since then the electronics have been updated, one generator was replaced, the inverter/charger was replaced and the batteries completely replaced. The high level of professional maintenance is apparent.
The boat is available along with the custom boathouses and the pair of Sea Doos if desired. The price does not include these items.
