Trafalgar Yacht Services was started as a yacht brokerage in 1994 by David Hardy, a salesman with Westerly Yachts since the early 80's, following a career as an aircraft engineer then sailing instructor. In September 1995, he was able to acquire the Fareham Marine Chandlery in the same building. He was joined by his wife Caroline, also an ex-Westerly employee. The business, for obvious reasons, specialises in Westerly yachts for sale, and the Chandlery has built up a range of Westerly spares and a mail order service which attracts sales to Westerly owners all over the world.

David Hardy has sold new and used Westerly's since 1982 and has sailed nearly every model extensively. His knowledge and practical experience of the Westerly range is second-to-none. Caroline Hardy used to be Contracts Manager and later After-Sales Manager at Westerly. She shares the running of the business as well as handling all the Westerly Spares enquiries.
