Swan 68 Yacana
Swan 68.007, originally named “Hissar” and later Splendid, currently Yacana, was designed and built for a knowledgeable racing orientated yachtsman and his family. Great time and effort was taken in enhancing her performance including input form Americas Cup expertise for her deck layout. “Splendid” as she became incorporates many custom features with a Custom Carbon rig, refined underwater shape extended transom and versatile interior layout. The new Carbon rig was fitted in October 2000 and was recently removed for inspection by RYS agents in 2005 and whether cruising, racing or chartering “Yacana” is the perfect choice.
Yacana has cruised and chartered widely recently and in 2001 as “Splendid” she sailed to the UK to take part in the Jubilee Celebrations in the UK and cruised Western Ireland. In 2002 she cruised the Aeolian Islands, Croatia and visited Venice later crossing to the Caribbean. In 2003 she returned to he Med and cruised Sicily and the Balearic Islands. In 2004 she cruised the Baltic Sea, South West UK, North West Spain, Portugal with a Christmas cruise in Andalusia sailing up the Guadalquivir to Seville. In 2006 she cruised Sardinia and the Peloponnese and Turkey for 2006. The vessel is currently located in Palma.
