Nautor’s Swan, manufacturers of luxury performance sailing yachts of unrivalled quality, have organised an interesting Mediterranean circuit for its upcoming and increasingly successful Club Swan 42

Since its launch in 2006, the popularity of the Club Swan 42, a unique one-design racer-cruiser, has grown across the globe. Created to boost ‘Corinthian’ sailing, the Club Swan 42 and its Class Rules were conceived to promote increased competitiveness within an owner-driver and amateur-sailing framework, with a focus on containing costs. The Club Swan 42 is already proving its prowess on the American racing circuit

Christened at the New York Yacht Club (NYYC) on October 7th 2006, the Club Swan 42 marks an important partnership between the New York Yacht Club and Nautor’s Swan. The Club Swan 42 was designed by the Frers design team in collaboration with Nautor’s Swan, to specifications developed by the NYYC. More than 10 Club Swan 42s attended the Swan American Regatta in Newport, Rhode Island in July 2008. The Swan American Regatta, run by the NYYC, was a fitting first outing for the Club Swan 42 Class, which competed as one-design class for the first time.

Debido a la gran aceptación y creciente interés en el Club Swan 42 de Nautor's Swan en el mundo, Nautor programa un intenso circuito de regatas en Europa además del ya existente circuito Americano.


Desde su botadura en 2006, la popularidad del Club Swan 42 ha disparado por todo el mundo. Este velero de competición y crucero de diseño único ha sido creado para promocionar regatas tipo “Corinthian” animando a la competitividad entre propietarios que quieren capitanear ellos mismos sus yates bajo reglas amateur, con énfasis en mantener los costes al mínimo. Las reglas limitarán la cantidad de velas permitidas y el número de profesionales a bordo, además de otros controles de características permitidas para asegurar la igualdad.


El Club Swan 42 fue bautizado en el New York Yacht Club (NYYC) el 7 de Octubre 2006, iniciando una importante asociación entre el New York Yacht Club y Nautor’s Swan. El Club Swan 42 es un diseño del equipo Frers en colaboración con Nautor’s Swan, siguiendo las especificaciones desarrollados por el NYYC.
