Welcome to Repo Yacht Sales
We just moved our location for the first time in eight years ,we are now located behind UMI Sushi next to Phantom marine on the second floor still next to Fiddlers Green just a short walk from our old location. Hi. Thank you for visiting our web site at Repo Yacht Sales. My name is Megan McQuaide, and I started Repo Yachts about 16 years ago. I was right out of college and had no real plans for a career. I found I was good at sales and knew nothing about boats. But a nice older man took me into his brokerage and taught me the basics. Within one year, I took my brokers test and passed. I had no idea there were no women in the business, let alone operating as the broker and owner. So, I started selling what no other broker would deal with: repossessions. I found myself as the West Coast expert quickly and have done well ever since. I love my work and many tell me that it shows. I try hard to make sure you get the perfect boat at the best deal possible. Keep in mind that I can work with any broker in the U.S. or even with a private party to help represent you as the buyer to get you the best deal possible and make sure that you get clear title. I have learned that by being a woman in a mostly man's industry that I have an edge by knowing what women want in a boat. This is important because now women are making at least half or more of the income. The guy will usually want 9 out of the 10 boats I show him, but finding the one that his wife likes is so important. Then she will enjoy the experience too. I find that even letting them know that I feel this is important helps in the process of picking out that great boat.
I also have a wonderful partner. Steve is so important to our team. He is a marine mechanic, electrician and salesman all rolled into one. He will help you feel reassured that mechanically and electrically you are safe with your purchase. The mechanical end of boats can be scary. Steve helps take the mystery out of things. He can also teach you to drive your boat and use it at the dock. We are a powerful team and we know it. We strive to get the listings that need to sell fast. We deal in repossessions, estate sales, donations, and any other way that a boat is a good deal. Sometimes people come in and list the boat before it gets repossessed. There are all kinds of ways to get a good deal. Our motto is, "If you want to sell your boat we can't help you. If you NEED to sell your boat, we can help you." We have had motivated sellers and lots of buyers who want a great deal. It is really fun to match them up. It helps everybody. The seller NEEDS to sell and the buyer wants a nice boat at a great deal. That is why we have been successful year after year. So, welcome to our site.
