Our Scandinavian Yachts crew is comprised of Jennifer Stewart, Alan Baines, Paul Buttrose and Randy Altemus. Jennifer has over 28 years of experience in new & brokerage yacht sales that includes being a designated Nautor’s SWAN Agent. Alan has over 18 years of experience selling both new build and brokerage yachts, a further 5 in managing marina and boatyard service operations and holds degrees in nautical science, yacht management as well as a Second Officer’s Certificate for ships of unlimited tonnage. Paul’s career in the yachting industry covers a span of 35 years, from logging thousands of sea miles as a professional captain, a 15 year relationship with Nautor’s SWAN, 5 years with German Frers Naval Architecture & Engineering and in recent years specializing in brokerage and yacht management. His recent sailing activities have centered around the 12 Metre Class and classic yacht racing. Starting in the yacht sales industry in 1973 after a tour of duty flying for the Navy, Randy has over 35 years of experience in the sail & power brokerage and new yacht construction venues for some of the best names in the business in the United States and overseas that include Nautor's SWAN and BALTIC Yachts.

Featured Boat 53' Nautor SWAN 53/040 1991 US$ 485,000 The "MEZZA LUNA" is a beautifully maintained SWAN 53 that has been used and lightly chartered by her current and previous Owners in New England and Caribbean waters. Built by NAUTOR of Finland, she was the 40th example of the very successful SWAN 53 design by German Frers. The "MEZZA LUNA" has the standard SWAN 53 layout to include the Owner's Cabin aft with a centerline queen berth, two Guests Cabins, port and starboard forward with uppper/lower berths, and the foc's'le area for crew's quarters and for storage. Post her $250,000 USD refit in 2004, and during the past four years, the "MEZZA LUNA" has undergone a subsequent continuing minor refit process. It is clear that considerable effort has been expended to ensure that the yacht is kept up to the highest standards. An abbreviated list of work includes a full bottom peel and rebuild that was completed in August of 2008. Since 2005, a new main engine, generator, standing rigging, electric heads and watermaker, updates for the INMARSAT and IRIDIUM communications systems have all been accomplished. The interior was recently completely revarnished, including the floorboards. There is also a set of DOYLE carbon racing sails (main, #2 & #3 new, 2008 and unused) in the "MEZZA LUNA" inventory. In superb condition and exceptionally well-equipped, the "MEZZA LUNA" was surveyed in May of 2008 and again in October of 2008 for compliance with United Kingdom commercial coding regulations. All necessary work to comply with the prevailing strict insurance standards has been accomplished in good order. The "MEZZA LUNA" is offered for brokerage sale due to a change in plans by her Owner; both inspections and offers are encouraged.
