Elan 310 Performance
The all new Elan 310 marks a great chapter in the story of Elan's award winning performance cruiser range. The 310 is Elan's best 31 footer yet, drawing heavily on the innovation and technology that has made the 450 a winner. The Elan 310 made her world debut at the Southampton Boat Show (UK) in September 2009, the same year that sees Elan celebrate its 60th year of yacht production. This new model will continue Elan's reputation as an innovative builder that utilises modern design and materials to satisfy sailors both on and off the race course.
The Elan 340 was voted European Yacht of the Year 2007. She is a modern performance cruiser that brings a top-level performance to capture the spirit of the competitive sailor, while retaining the well appointed comforts and style that Elan are renowned for. All in all, the Elan 340 ensures the enjoyment of the avid cruiser and those who need to race well, in equal measure.
The characteristics that made the 310 special are also embodied in the 350, but in a size of boat that has been particularly popular over the years. It is a size that is small enough to be manageable for a small crew – a husband and wife, for example – but to have real sea-going capability and a turn of speed that will be considered exceptional in a boat of this category. In statistical terms, the 350 is relatively lighter for her length than the 310, and the sail area : wetted surface ratio also greater. The Elan 380 is a new high performance cruiser designed by long standing Elan designer, Rob Humphreys. On deck the Elan 380's refined lines ensure a clean deck layout that maximizes freedom and safe movement on board. All lines, including the German mainsheet system, are led back to the cockpit equipped with powerful self-tailing winches and accompanied by a large diameter wheel giving the helm the optimum position onboard.
The Elan 410 is an unmistakable Elan performance cruiser with a string of victories to her name, including dominating class wins at the world famous Cowes Week. She sees Rob Humphreys take everything learned from his highly successful Elan 40, resulting in a yacht that would satisfy the most performance orientated sailor, without alienating those looking to cruise at pace and in comfort. Designed by Rob Humphreys, the new Elan 450 sets new standards in design and short handed sailing in its class. She builds on the success of the Elan performance cruiser range, including features such as an open transom, flush hatches on coach roof, open bow pulpit, clean lines on deck, long length at waterline, pure bow lines as well as a bright, contemporary and spacious interior. The Elan 450 has a three cabin layout option, including a luxurious owners forecabin with a large island double cabin and generous heads, with two large double cabins aft. For those with a larger crew, a four cabin layout is also available.
