Capt. Curt's Trawlers & Yachts LLC image Moving to Florida in 1978, Curt Marsh, a former Indiana State Policeman, purchased a waterfront motel and ran a charter boat business on Siesta Key, Florida, thus becoming Capt. Curt. During the next eight years he started and ran several successful businesses including Capt. Curtís Crab & Oyster Bar (still in business), a rental boat business and marine supply store. He retired in 1986, became bored and got into the yacht business. He spent the last twenty years owning and operating yacht sales and brokerage firms. He has also worked in new boat design and manufacturing. He is now specializing in assisting a few select customers in new and used yacht sales.

47' 2003 Nova Scotia Pilothouse Trawler was the brainchild of Capt. Curt Marsh built at his former factory in Moncton, New Brunswick Canada. She was launched and delivered on her own bottom to her first owner from The Bay Of Funday, New Brunswick, Canada to Hilton Head, SC in the cold winter of 2003.

 

The interior user-friendly designed floor plan is meant for cruising in comfort. She

features two staterooms and two heads plus shared large shower w/seat. The master stateroom is midship, features a centerline queen walk around berth, a walk-in cedar-lined 5x7 air conditioned hanging locker and plenty of stowage drawers under the queen berth, separate built in washer/dryer units are also featured in the master stateroom, and built in TV/stereo unit. Master stateroom head features separate very large shower stall, electric whisper flush head, corian sink w/ corian counter top, medicine cabinet and lots of cupboard storage below sink area.

 

 The guest/office stateroom is forward. Features include, ultra leather sofa, behind this sofa is a Murphy style double guest bed,  and a water tight hatch to anchor locker. Computer size desk portside, built-in wall linen cupboard, book shelves and full size cedar lined hanging locker. The quest head features electric whisper flush head, corian sink with designer facets,  medicine cabinet and storage cupboard below sink.

 

 For a boat this size it may be a surprise to hear that the walk-in engine room features 6'8" headroom and it's air conditioned      

It features, built-in workbench, vice, toolbox, ESI fuel management polishing system.  Duel Racor filters (5), And a New Xantrex 40 amp Smart Charger.

 

The aft salon is ready for entertaining. It features,  a bar, entertainment center, an abundance of space and luxury, electric Flex steel L/shaped sofa sleeper, recliner chair, Automatic up/down 42” HDTV Dobby Digital Olevia TV, area carpet and teak & holly floor.

 

 5'X 7' storage commissary is through a floor hatch in the salon.

 

Large U-shaped galley to starboard side. It’s open to the salon and would make a gourmet chef feel right at home. It features a three burner gas range with built in microwave oven, double corian sinks with designer facets, above and below cupboard storage, plenty of drawer storage; full size refrigerator/freezer and plenty counter space.  ACCESS TO PILOTHOUSE IS PORT SIDE OF GALLEY UP FIVE STEPS.

 

The pilothouse is a captain’s dream come true!

Inside access from the pilothouse to the fly bridge. This raised pilothouse features a center line captains helm seat, full electronics display package with all the bells and whistles, 6'8" watch berth, port & starboard Dutch doors to side decks.

 
This vessel is very comfortable, a home away from home.  Ideal for the cruising couple and has space for the occasional guests. Very economical cruising speed with her single 480 hp Cummins diesel @ 7 knots she gets 2 miles per gallon and at 6 knots she has over a 2000 mile range and her top speed is 11 knots. She holds 800 gallons of diesel fuel, draft is 5-1/2', beam 17', bridge clearance 22'with antennas down, LOA 51', holding tank 100 gallons, water tank 300 gallons, displacement 60,000 lbs. Current main engine hours 1650 and there are 1700 hours on the 8 kw Onan generator. This vessel has proven her sea handling capabilities and is ready for her next owner.
