Marine industry veteran Craig Barrie founded Dragon Powerboats in early 2002 to make this statement a reality. By combining a unique product design, an upscale manufacturing process, and a centralized distribution system, Dragon Powerboats has developed a precise formula to take high- performance boat building and marketing to a new level. A level higher than anything found in performance boating today.
The company will offer three versions of THE DRAGON™: Performance, Factory II and Super Vee. Thus, THE DRAGON™ can be pure pleasure, pure racing or a combination pleasure/race boat. American Power Boat Association class requirements are built in.
Dragon Powerboats has teamed up with strategic partners that represent the best in technology, high performance boat manufacturing and customer service - NDL Wright, Inc. for tooling, Porta Products for lamination and Mercury Marine’s Lake X for rigging. In addition to Lake X, Mercury Marine has trained service centers throughout the world which will ensure servicing of THE DRAGON™s to be timely and accurate.
Dragon Powerboats has also teamed up with a strategic partner for its distribution - Martin Marine, the nation’s leading high performance boat dealer. This centralized distribution solution opens the door for all dealers to service their customers and allows the company to retain product and image control.
