Testimonials
San Lorenzo 80 "Randall, I wanted to thank you for the great job you did selling my 80' San Lorenzo. Prior to your listing the boat, a number of brokers in San Francisco listed the boat with little success. You convinced me to move the boat to Southern California and, within three weeks of the boat arriving in Marina del Rey, the boat was sold!! You were "dead on" about moving the boat to a new demographic. Additionally, you did everything right - listing the boat, showing the boat, and closing the boat. Fantastic job!! John Sweeney"
Randall Burg Randall Burg yacht and Ship, Inc. RE: 40’ Ocean
It all started New Years eve after reading an advertisement. I read the ad and clicked the link on a boat that I had previously admired several months earlier, but thought out of my reach. ……. I emailed an offer to the contact and on New Years Day called to inquirer about it. Of course I did not expect to talk with a person, after all I know I am alone in my excitement about things most of the time, but what the heck I though, and called the number. The first conversation with the Randall Burg Yachts salesman led to seeing the boat New Years Day! I am an optimistic person, but to be honest I could see this boat slowly slipping away from us for various reasons, number one being that Melinda and I are in no way ever going to own a boat like that. Ok, I admit I am sarcastic, so let me just get to the point. I have 35 years experience in quality assurance and quality control….. so I fell that I know a bit about what makes something or someone qualified to have the “Q” word tagged on. Everyone claims it, but few can actually deliver. They come close, but there is always something in there quest for perfect defect free service that leaves lingering doubt. This is hard to overcome. I believe the way they make up for less then perfect is the most important component of anything, one that, as a Country we seem to have forgotten about and that would be the people. The Randall Burg Yachts salesman instantly overcame this limiting factor and earned the 5 star Quality rating within 1 minute of talking on the phone with me. New Years day – no problem, know nothing about boats – no problem, “I am a Yacht Salesman and that is why I am here, let me help you own your dream and I will help you understand not just the purchase, but how this big piece of fiberglass can make you happy”. It was truly amazing. I still can’t believe it happened and our lives have changed in ways we only read about in novels and see acted out in the movies. And just to let you know, I do not write letters at all and never fill out quality surveys. I just wanted to let you know that who you hired is a very quality person that can connect to people and give them an experience that is positive. To expand on this a bit, the Randall Burg Yachts was there at every phase: from offer acceptance, survey, sea trial, delivery, documentation and just general things that go into buying a boat. The Randall Burg Yachts salesman obviously loves what he does and is very knowledgeable on the subject. This was apparent at every juncture associated with getting this extremely cool boat into our hands. Melinda and I are very grateful to have had the good fortune of dealing with a Randall Burg Yachts salesman, and will never forget what he has done for us. Sincerely, Tim & Melinda DeBell"
Randall Burg yacht and Ship, Inc. RE: 40' Sea Ray Sundancer Dear Randall,
The information and help that you offered was invaluable and your follow through on the entire deal was superb. The boat now named KAHN JOB has provided us nonstop fun and everyone who has been aboard her can't believe how clean and well kept she is. Thanks Again. Yours truly, David and Lisa Kahn"
Randall Burg Randall Burg Yacht and Ship, Inc. RE: 41’ HANS CHRISTIAN "Randall, I wanted to thank you for the excellent job you did selling my 41’ Hans Christian. I’d met you a few years ago when I made an offer and sea trialed a 38’ Lagoon that you had listed in your San Francisco office. While I did not purchase the Lagoon I was very impressed with your staff and the professional way you handled the transaction. Contract signing, setting up the sea trial, and the speedy return of my deposit were all marks of a well run brokerage. When it was time to sell my Hans Christian I signed up Randall Burg Yacht and Ship as my Exclusive representative for the boat. You went to bat for me right away doing a magnificent, 80 photo web listing that included not only a very detailed equipment and upgrade list but detailed information about the company history, boat manufacturing process, and other valuable information that assisted the buyer with purchasing the boat. The negotiations with the Buyer were long and difficult but you were on top of the details and “made it happen”! Randall, job well done! I am looking forward to working with you to purchase my next boat." Dennis Hamm Malibu, Calif.
"Randall was great threw the whole process, from showing me the boat, working with the bank, loading the boat on the trailer and delivering her to the boat yard. Great organization to work with. I will definitely purchase another boat from Randall Burg Yacht and Ship. As a matter of fact, I liked Randall and his company so much that I am now one of his licensed salesman!" John Botoros
Happy owners of a 2002 Donzi. The boat was shipped to Holland!! "During our search for a Donzi 22 ZX we found one on Randall's website. After a lot of email contact and some phone calls my brother and I decided to book a flight to LA to meet Randall and to see the boat. We were surprised about the condition of the boat and how Randall, his team and the owner helped us during the sea trial and inspection of the boat. The boat was as as he told it was. In nearly new condition!!! After signing the final contracts and preparing the boat for transport to Holland we flew back with a big smile on our faces. Now waiting for the boat to arrive in Belgium so we can pick it up there and enjoy it this summer on the Dutch waters. Again I want to say thank you to Randall and his team for all the help he gave us and if we ever looking for another boat we know who to call!! Best regards,
Dimitri Verwaal
PRIMA 45 Euro Sedan being loaded onto a Russian freighter to be shipped to Australia! "Randall and his team were fantastic. he worked with the Buyer for months setting up the purchase. The buyer flew in from Australasia and purchased the boat the same day! Randall continued to work with the buyer, the buyers shipping agent, the cradle builder, and the shipped to ready the boat for shipping overseas. He was on board when the boat we delivered to Long Beach for shipping and supervised the loading & securing of the boat on the Russian freighter. Now that's what I call great customer service!! Bravo Randall" Randy Rosenberg
Schock 35: I was under the mistaken impression that I needed a Race Boat Broker to sell my racing sailboat. I met Randall Burg through a mutual boating friend. He was such a nice guy I decided to give him a non-exclusive listing on my Schock 35, while I was checking out the racing boat brokers. Randal kicked butt, and sold my boat quickly. And the racing broker I was looking at … well, they went out of business. The moral of the story: Randal Burg knows how to find buyers and sell boats, of any type. Randal Burg will be my first call when I get ready to buy my next boat. Fred Young, Schock 35 “Perfect Circle”
Best,
65' Knight & Carver "Randall, I wanted to thank you for the exceptional job you did selling my organization’s 65’ Knight & Carver Long Range Trawler. I selected your brokerage over all the other brokers to represent the boat because you sounded very confident and knowledgeable. From the start I knew I had made the right decision. You handled every issue that came up, in your words “Because it is just another day at the office!” This was not your typical yacht for sale, there were many hurdles, but your extensive knowledge of the business made it look easy! You worked to help me find a new slip for the boat, worked with the captain to move the boat, showed the boat many times, and finally, when the right buyer made an offer you worked with both parties and coordinated the seas trial, survey, and final documentation for the sale.
Bravo!
The boat will be going on its' own bottom to the Marshall Islands!
51' Mason Centerboard Yawl >Owners Christine and Pat Bradley sailed the boat back to Australia!
"Hi Randall,
We wanted to tell you how delighted we are about the purchase of the 51' Mason. The boat was just what we were looking for! More then finding the right boat, you were the right broker to sell me the boat. Not only did you allow the us to work the boat while she was on your lot, but you allowed us to stay onboard while the boat was being worked on on your lot and even let us use your office as our own office!! Your suggestions for sailmaker, engine mechanic, rigger, electroicis tech, slip and even insurance were right on - they all were wonderful to work with and came in at or under budget. You were always there when I need you to fire up your fork lift to remove a piece of equipment off the boat or add a new piece of equipment. How rare is this - a yacht broker that gives his clients 110% effort?? We will charish the time we spent with you and the many ways you made the purchase and equiping of our boat easy and pleasant - especially the use of your Port Supply card - that has saved us a lot!!. Keep doing what you do best - selling yachts!"

37' Whitby "Hi Steve (Block, Richmond office), "Just wanted to say thank you for all your help. You did an extremely well job selling this boat. I know the economy is bad, but you did what you said you would do and more. You went over the top on this one. Thank you so much. My wife has relatives in San Jose so next time we visit them, I will surely give you a call and hopefully we can meet for a quick coffee. Steve, You take care. All the best,
Dan Sunday"
November 11, 2010 "Dear Randall Burg: I thought I should write you a note to express my appreciation of your support and service you have offered, beginning with the original purchase of our sailing vessel, to a recent request of information 5 years after the sale, to share with any new clients you may have. From the beginning, when we flew down to Marina Del Ray for our sea trial of the 38' Beneteau Oceanis 381 we were considering, you were on time for our meeting, the vessel was ready and well prepared for the purpose, and of course, that day was a salesman's dream for weather conditions for the sea trial. I'm sure you arranged this. After the close of sale, you had arranged for the preparations and transport of the boat to the Bay Area by truck. The vessel arrived on time and in good order. In fact, the wind vane was damaged in transport, and you had it replaced! Overall, I was very satisfied with the way in which you handled our purchase and the follow-up in later years. We certainly will be contacting you when we are ready for another vessel!
Thank you again for making our experience with you a pleasant and productive one!
Sincerely,
"Dear Randall,
I did the same thing when I was ready to sell my boat but the answers I got were, “there all the same”. Well, I came to you and now I can give anybody my answer and referral, “Go See Randall Burg”, he is not like the others. Your company came thru for me. Everything was up front and all the details were explained, even the difficult ones, like, it takes time but we will find the buyer for your boat. When the buyer was found, you did your thing. Although it was difficult communicating from out of state, you took care of everything. Obviously from your years of experience, you orchestrated the entire sale to a close that was fair and honest to both parties. You delivered on everything you promised. Thank you for the extra help I needed because I wasn’t physically able to do some of things that needed to be done to prepare the boat for sale.
Sincerely,
"Hi John and Randall, I wanted to tell you just how much we enjoyed working with you and the pleasure we are getting from owning our new and 1st boat. Talk about a great experience - you guys worked with us for months taking us out in your Duffy to look at boats in Marina del Rey. We had no idea what we wanted - express cruiser, motor yacht, aft cabin, etc. You allowed us the time to find our way and the right boat at out own speed, what you called a "Magical Mystery Tour!" of discovery. Over a period of six months , with your help, we zeroed in on a 40' Cruisers Aft Cabin Motor yacht. When we finally decided on the right boat you hand held us thru the entire process, even the very difficult issues with the sellers LLC, the survey, sea trial, insurance, and slip. Thank you ! We will definitely use Randall Burg and company for our next boat purchase." Mike and Lisa
"Randal, I want to thank you for the handling of my recent purchase of the 32 ft. Century Crusier. While these things never go as smoothly as you like, you were more than willing to help get it done. You also helped me get an Auto Pilot installed. A feature I considered essential to my enjoyment of the boat. The boat is now in Ensenada, Mexico where I intend to get some good fishing." Robert Lind

I called your Marina Del Rey office and John was the one to take my call. I asked about a boat that was listed on your web-site and he made arrangements to show it to me within 2 hours. That boat wasn't exactly what I was looking for but John had a pretty good idea what would suit me based on the brief interactions we had up until that point. He took me straight from the first boat to the second and it was exactly what we wanted. At home I consider myself the pre-screener for big ticket items and I knew my wife would want to see the boat and give her stamp of approval. Since she couldn't get away from work early the following day and I was out of town, John made arrangements to meet her in the evening at your office and took her to see it. Needless to say she also loved the boat. The following day we made an offer and a week later we were the proud owners of our first power boat. John was good enough to walk us through the process every step of the way and provided great advice and insight. He's a class act and we're pleased that we had the opportunity to work with him. I hope we'll be the owners of this boat for a long time, but should we be in the market for another boat in future, we'll certainly be in touch.
Sincerely,
Greg B"

April, 2011. New owner on the dock after a very successful sea trial and survey!! "The team at Randall Burg Yacht and Ship did a great job selling me a wonderful 50' Spindrift. Thank you John and Randall"
(Buyer) "The assistance from both Dennis and David (the previous owner) to assist in relocating the vessel from San Diego to Long Beach was above and beyond the call of duty and something that needs to be highlighted. You wouldn't expect to get that kind of service - even in the easy-going-down-under-place where I choose to reside .. it was an appreciated touch. Regards Brett" (Seller)

May, 2011 "Randall Burg sold my 44’ Pacifica Sportfisher Yacht. This was a very complicated sale on every level. The sale was “court ordered” and the only asset of value in a messy divorce. A poor economy and one disgruntled seller made for a very complicated listing and sale. Randall Burg remained professional and delivered the desired results for all parties involved. Listing Price: Randall helped me choose a listing price based on the current market conditions, the condition of the yacht and the time frame needed to sell. We lowered the price when necessary. Randall always kept me informed of the changing market conditions ant allowed me to feel knowledgeable when making decisions. Marketing: Randall marketed the yacht implementing the newest and most efficient technology available. His presence in the boating industry is extremely visible to buyers and sellers. His reputation is valued among his clients and peers. Sea Trials: Randall established communication with potential buyers immediately. Sea trials were arranged to accommodate all parties involved. He was extremely knowledgeable about the yacht and enhanced all of her benefits, yet was always honest about it’s current condition. Randall assisted in the financing, documentation and delivery process. His knowledge and experience in buying and selling boats is superb! Communication: The most important attribute a broker can have is excellent communication skills. During this highly emotional and complicated sale, Randall was always available via phone, computer and texting. There were no surprises. Randall helped me understand the selling process and gave me the information needed to make clear decisions every step of the way. He was always sensitive to the complicated emotional situation, yet maintained a high level of professionalism and perspective. Randall’s number one goal was the goal of his clients. This can be difficult when also representing the buyer as well, but not for Randall. He helped create a winning outcome for all parties involved! I don't know how I can express how blessed I feel that Randall Burg helped me in this messy, emotional situation. Needless to say, I wouldn’t trust any other broker to help me sell or buy a boat. No doubt, Randall Burg is the best Broker in his field!
Sincerely,
