| When an immediate disposition is preferred, there is usually the option of donating your vessel to a non-profit organization. This can mean a straight tax deductible donation or depending on the value of your boat, possibly a "bargain sale"* resulting in a partial cash payment and the remainder in tax deduction. By completing the following form we will submit your boat for review by several qualified 501(c)(3)charitable corporations. Generally within 48 hours we will receive proposals for your consideration.
*(A "Bargain Sale" is a sale of property to a charity at less than its fair market value, with a result that it is in part a sale of the property and in part a charitable contribution. For example, you sell your property with a fair market value of $50,000 to a charity for $10,000, and are allowed a deduction for all or part of the $40,000 gift, you have made a Bargain Sale.)
