Overview

Originally launched in May of 2010 this 46' Raised Pilot House Cruiser is a beautifully conceived, constructed and crafted  vessel. The raised pilot house affords incredible visibility while the full suite of electronics will give the captain a piece of mind when the weather gets rough and the Trac Vision will allow some down time for the crew. The large forward stateroom has an island berth with ample stowage in the custom built cherry lockers and drawers. The separate head (starboard) and shower room (port) are designed with spaciousness in mind. The utility room houses the electrical systems (remote battery switches, Xantrex inverter, Charles battery charger, batteries, etc.), the water pump(s) including the back up fresh water pump, the Water Heater by ITR (diesel fired, 110v, engine heat exchanger), The Hurricane by ITR heater system, the EFOY 2200 fuel cell and the washer/dryer. Aft of the pilot house is the saloon and galley area. The galley is equipped with two Vitrifrigo refrigeration drawer units that operate on either 12v or 110 power. The Wallas diesel fired cook top doubles as a heater for those cooler mornings on the water. The built in U-Line model 95 ice maker will provide plenty of ice to keep your drinks cold and the microwave and convection toaster oven will help make meal preparation easy. The cockpit and wash decks with the cork covering boards are easily maintained and for those that like to fish the built in bait tank in the cockpit will keep your bait fish alive for days. Access to the mast and dingy is an easy climb up the teak ladder in the cockpit. The teak swim platform with swim ladder makes boarding from your dingy or the water and easy task.

The large engine room is easily navigated for ease of working on the engine and when needed the center hatch above the engine opens for even more accessibility.

Galley

The galley is set up with a a large counter top and a pot pocker that is usable as it lifts out of the counter with the help of counter weights. The Wallas Diesel Fired cook top that doubles as a heater for those cooler mornings. The Vitrifrigo Refrigeration units (two drawer units one with both drawers refrigeration the other with one refrigeration and one freezer drawer) operate on either 12v or 110 power. The u-line Model 95 ice maker will give plenty of ice to keep your drinks cool. The stowable cherry table is large enough for four to dine comfortably and is easily moved from the salon to the cockpit. The moveable cart that houses the microwave and the convection toaster oven will roll to accomodate food prep and the stowable cutting board is easily at hand.

When the meal is complete clean up is made that much easier with the dish drain built into the cabinet with a muffin fan to keep the air circulating.

Engine Room

The engine room is spacious and well laid out. The Cat C-18 is easily worked on and filters, impellers and zincs are right at hand. Access is via two large hatches one starboard of the engine and the other directly aft. If additional access is needed the hatch in the center of the salon will allow access to the top of the large CAT.

The oil change pump and the fuel filters are easily accessed at the aft end of the engine room. The forward bulkhead houses the bow thruster and windlass batteries and the respective battery switches. The 40 gallon Sealand Sanitation System is located in the engine room as well as the custom marine exhaust system by Marine Exhaust Systems for the C-18. The air for the engine is provided from the cockpit and is run through Delta 'T' moisture eliminators. The Fireboy automatic MA2-700 ER is set up with an automatic engine shut down in the event of a problem.

The CAT C-18 turns a 32" Nibral wheel via a 2 3/4" Aquamet shaft and a ZF 500 A Marine Transmission with a 1.964:1 gear ratio.

Utility Room

The Utility Room houses the electrical and mechanical for this vessel.

Access to the Utility Room is through the forward cabin access stairs - they lift up to reveal a the various systems on this vessel. The on board hot water is provided by the Water Heater by ITR and the heating system is the Hurricane by ITR - they are coupled and provide on board hot water and heat via engine heat exchange, diesel fired or 110 power. The remote battery switches are located in the utility room as well as the various fuses and breakers for the electrical components on board.

The shore power comes in to the vessel and is routed to the rest of the vessel through the Charles 5000 battery charger and the Xantrex inverter. When on the hook the four (4) 135 watt solar panels provide subsequent battery charging power and the EFOY 2200 methanol fuel cell helps keep things up when the sun is not shining.

The washer/dryer is located just to starboard. The Paragon Senior water pump by Groco along with the switch to change to a Jabsco back up water pump are set off to port. The salt water pump and filter are set just under the fresh water pumps and the salt water wash down seacock is very accessible. There is a seperate 25± gallon  water tank for the freshwater head to be sure that the head is further seperated from the potable water on board.

The utility room is equipped with a Fireboy MA2-300 in the event of a problem.

Head / Shower

The spacious head is placed to starboard just aft of the forward cabin stateroom. The Herroshof finsh with Cherry trim and high lights makes for a very inviting space.

The large vanity with ample counter space and stowage in the custom cabinets allows for most of the stores you may need. The Jabsco Quiet Flush electric head with holding and water tanks monitors are easily accessed and a quick glance tells you when it is time to empty the holding tank.

The towel racks and mirrors nicely round out the head.

The shower space is all white and has a built in bench and a wand shower head. The shower sump is controlled by a switch in the shower space and the nonskid fiberglass sole and heating duct makes for a comfortable shower area.

The electronics suite on board is quite extensive and includes the following:

Forward Cabin

The forward cabin is accessed by a set of teak steps from the Pilot House. The interior of the cabin is finished in a soft cherry with a white overhead and varnished ceiling. The island berth has ample stowage in the custom drawers and access for larger items under the mattress. The access door for the rope locker is at the head of the bed and the shelves and head board allow for additional items to be stowed and phones etc. to be charged through the 110v and 12v outlets located there. There is also a position/depth repeater on the side of the built in custom bureau to help one monitor their position when on the hook.

Opposite to port is the hanging locker with the thermostat. There are heating ducts under the two side steps for easily accessing the island berth.

The lockers under the washdecks allow for a lot of additional stowage space and add a nice finishing touch to the the forward cabin area.

Salon

The salon has a lot of space and is very bright due to the large cherry trimmed windows and lighting. When privacy is required the custom window coverings can be drawn and even in a crowded marina the world appears to disappear.

The aft sliding door by Diamond Sea Glaze is split for ease of use and to help keep the weight down. Inside the door to port is a hanging/wet locker and to starboard is a television tied into the electronics as a repeater with a custom mount to allow the unit to swing so that one can monitor the screen from the cockpit. The pull out sofa is located to port and the galley area to starboard.

The forward area to port is a desk (originally designed as a sewing table with sewing maching) with a lot of storage space in the various doors and drawer.

The overhead is white with cherry and holly carlin beams, the sole is teak and holly and the interior sides of the saloon are bright white with cherry wainscoting and a cherry chair rail.

Pilot House

The raised pilot house affords great visibility through the cherry trimmed Diamond Sea Glaze windows and the ease of access to the wide wash decks makes this boat easy to handle. The two Diamond Seaglaze sliding doors - one to port and one to starboard allow easy access to the wash decks and the break in the extended bow rail makes boarding easy.

The custom helm and nav seats allow for a comfortable seating position when underway and the large wheel and custom cherry helm station with two large displays and camera access will make navigation a breeze. The chart table with stowage for charts etc makes it easy to track your progress and to supplement your electronic navigation equipment.

Under the nav station is the 12 and 110V electrical panels. These custom panels are well labeled and back lit for ease of use.

The VHF, bow thruster joy stick, windlass controls and electronics are all within easy reach when at the helm.
