The hull and deck are made out of a single piece GRP mould, built from combination of chopped strand mat, bi-directional knit fabric and balsa core and lamina ted under controlled temperatures with Isophthalic polyester resin .
The hull and deck exterior have got mirror glaze gel-coat finish.
On the deck balsa is replaced with plywood to support deck fittings
All materials used in the construction are approved marine quality.

The Gulf Craft Ambassador 36 is built to a high standard, combines head turning design and precision engineering to stand out as the benchmark thirty six footer.

Rarely will you find such an extensive list of luxury features. From bow to stern, everything on this impressive boat tells a story of the thinking that has gone into it.

From the tasteful master cabin and separate guest cabin to the fully equipped galley and spacious cockpit - everything has been designed to ensure that this craft sets new standards in its class.

Stand at the helm station of the Gulf Craft Ambassador 36 and look forward. The bow stretches out in front of you, now turn around, and there is even more boat behind you. For a 36-footer the Ambassador 36 is a lot of boat and looks and feels like a bigger boat.

Gulf Craft has been in business since 1982, and operates out of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates.

The factory builds boats from 18 feet up to 125 feet and has an output of about 600 a year.

If there are a few people sitting down to lunch there is plenty of space for a large table in the carpeted aft cockpit which has a deck galley area with sink. The helm station has a very angular workman-like look about it. All the gauges are there and a handy switch panel is located on the right hand side of the wheel.

The view from the helm seat is good allround, standing up there is also a good view over the top of the windscreen. This boat has a full auto helm and GPS/depth finder system. The main deck over the cabin is very flat and is a good spot to sunbathe. It is also easy to get to with a 205mm walkway along each side and a step up with a handhold from the aft cockpit.

Down below the forward stateroom is separated from the saloon by a main bulkhead. There is a settee and dining table and the liberal use of beech wood makes the cabin light and airy. The galley has a two-burner cooktop, microwave and fridge.

This boat benefits from airconditioning and heating.

There are a couple of cupboards for storage including one very deep one. The large bunk in the main stateroom is angled across the boat, with a standing area in the entrance. There is a hanging locker and storage beside the bunk.

The head is self contained with an electric toilet and hot and cold running water.

The aft cabin runs longitudinally under the bridge deck. There are two bunks in here with a two-draw chest of draws between them and storage above the starboard side bunk.

On the water the variable deadrise, which is fine at the bow and runs to 22 degrees at the transom, keeps the hull running true. The twin outboards give a real turn of speed when required and provide great volume within the boat for storage and extended family cruising.

Owners Comments The engines on our boat are 250HP Yamaha 2 stroke outboards. I have had many boats and I find this to be a very good set up as it is very easy to work on the engines - i.e. maintenance etc and it gives a lot of space where the engines could have been. They are very maneouvarable and easy to adjust (electric) to get the planing right but you can also run on one engine which makes it economical if required.
