Semezana, a 1983 Shannon 51 Aegean ketch, is one of the best maintained examples of this limited production design built by one of America’s highest quality builders.  She is exceptionally strong and designed for world cruising and live aboard.

Valued design features include a pilothouse with helm station, seakindly hull shape with shoal draft keel, and full skeg protection for the rudder (propeller is in aperture between the skeg and rudder).  All sails can be furled from the deep comfortable cockpit including self-tending club staysail, genoa, mizzen, and electric stoway mainsail .  The versatile ketch sail plan also facilitates shorthanded sailing. 

Semezana’s three stateroom interior with light oak and teak trim is exceptionally well finished and in great condition.  The cabin soles are solid varnished teak with light contrasting inlays.  The galley adjacent to the companionway is well configured for cooking offshore and liveaboard.

Since purchasing Semezana in 2005 the current owner has continually upgraded and replaced equipment.  The main, yankee, genoa, staysail and mizzen were put into service in 2005 and have been cleaned and serviced annually since.

For the past 7 years the owner has cruised about four months annually and keeps the boat in storage (most of the time out the water) the rest of the year. 

The Shannon 43 is well known for being robust, comfortable and elegant.  These American built vessels can be found in every ocean and have been the preffered choice of cruisers for over twenty years.  There are very few builders in existance today that craft vessels the way Shannon does.  These boats take great care of thier owners in all conditions and are also simple to sail.

With her centerboard up she only draws 4'9" making her a perfect choice for the Bahamas or Florida. With the board lowered, windward performance is enhanced. PANACHE is a very desirable blue water sailing yacht.  The Walter Schutz classic design is know the world over for it’s beautiful wineglass stern, comfort and passage making abilities.  Hull #3 has brought enjoyment to the same owner for 27 years.   PANACHE has received constant upgrades and professional maintenance under his ownership.
