Freedom Yachts has been building quality sailboats for over 20 years. They introduced the Legacy 40 Sedan Series in 1995, which entered them into the down-east category of yachts. The down-east style boats are regarded as easily driven hulls with the ability to handle various sea conditions with ease. 'Splendido' is a fine example of this.With her fully cored hull, sharp entry and deep skeg, she is on a step at only 12 knots. With her generous cockpit and full walk around side decks, On 'Splendido' it is very easy to go forward to snag a mooring buoy or, from the cockpit, grab a crab pot. When you are anchored at one of your favorite spots and want to go exploring just lower the Avon dinghy into the water with ease from the Nick Jackson davit on the stern. The transom door makes entry to and from the RIB very easy.'Splendido' is a semi-custom yacht, built to this owner's specifications, (the original owner) with many upgrades. She has been kept under cover since new, and it sure shows. | |||
