Hunt has a full line-up to offer - a Harrier 25, Surfhunter 25, Surfhunter 29 and the Surfhunter 33 as well as the high performance Harrier 36. The new Hunt 25 Center Console has been named " Best New Powerboat" at the Newport International Boat Show.
All Hunt Yachts are custom built to order in their own shop, at Hunt Boatbuilders Inc. in South Dartmouth, MA. Ray Hunt's grandson, C. Raymond Hunt II, is fittingly in charge of manufacturing at Hunt Boatbuilders, while all naval architecture is by the Hunt design office in Boston.
The Hunt Deep-V hull is the basis for all the boats, modified for the needs of each size and speed -providing sea keeping ability that few boats can match. Hunt Yachts share the same 40 years of design expertise that produced our pilot, military and work boats that you will find in our commercial section. Those boats are expected to work 24/7 in all weather and seas. With a Hunt Yacht our owners can expect to do the same.
SURFHUNTER 25
The return of a local favorite! We have reintroduced and updated the Surfhunter 25, a legend on the nasty, choppy waters of Buzzard's Bay where the summer sou'wester kicks up a short steep chop every afternoon trying to push all the water east of Newport up through the narrow pass of the Cape Cod Canal. The Surfhunter was designed by Ray Hunt for these waters and was originally built here in wood. She has a full 23 degree deadrise deep-V hull with a widely flaring bow to punch through the chop while staying dry.
We have added features and improved the cockpit layout by moving the engine forward. This allows space for an optional full width stern seat or more fishing room with the seat removed. New features include: On deck stowage lockers. Rod racks recessed under the side decks. Molded console with room for flush mounted electronics. Gas or diesel power. 40 mph speed with a 300 hp economical inboard-outdrive. A roomy cuddy for overnighting including V-berth, toilet, large opening deck hatch and two portlights with screens, counter space for a stove with locker and drawers, vanity with sink and pressure water. Low maintenance polyethylene trim above, teak trim below. A teak trim package for the deck and cockpit is available to complete the classic look if desired.

HARRIER 25
This fast, touring sportsboat was inspired by our Surfhunter 25, but is more of a runabout and a dayboat. Her sleeker profile cuts a more aggressive look, yet she offers even more cockpit space for families and fishing.

The Surfhunter 25 Center Console is built on the well-proven Surfhunter 25 hull, designed by the renowned deep-V innovators C. Raymond Hunt Associates. Numerous published sea trials on the Surfhunter (express) and Harrier 25’s already in service attest to the remarkable comfort, dry ride, seakeeping, and roughwater performance of this design, created from the outset to handle the three different types of propulsion – a feature currently unavailable in any other center console boat.
SURFHUNTER 29
The Surfhunter 29 remains a fun and practical boat for day use with an interior that places overnights and weekends within easy reach. She has the same superb Hunt deep-V performance that has made her little sister one of the venerable boats in the rough waters of Southern New England. In the 29, the extra four feet of length is split between the cockpit and the interior. With that length and an additional foot and a half in the beam, there are more generous dimensions below and more move-around space on deck. Plus, the scaled up hull and cabin give additional, desired inches of headroom without impacting on the sleek Surfhunter profile and instantly recognizable “Hunt-style”.
Standard power is a single Volvo Penta 5.7 SXI/XPD 320 HP Ocean Series gas engine with thru-hub exhaust and Ocean Series Composite Outdrive. Hunt Anticipates 40 MPH speed, and a cruising range of 250 nm with standard 150 gallon fuel tank. Other power choices are offered, including diesel I/O, diesel inboard, and the option of water jet.
SURFHUNTER 33
The largest Surfhunter yet has space to sleep four, entertain a crowd, turn heads in admiration and take you comfortably through waters that only the authentic Hunt hull can handle. Simplicity to maximize your hours of use yet elegant for a posh event. Satin finish cherry interior with teak and holly sole; full galley; compete head with standing headroom and shower. Beautifully shaped upholstery, from the L-settee to the convertible dinette, from V-berths forward to the removable cross transom optional bench. Each Surfhunter is made to order so you can personalize your own.
