52' IRWIN 52 Center Cockpit Cruiser
A gorgeous yacht - ready for living aboard or cruising!
The Irwin 52 continues to gain more of a following with time. This Ted Irwin design is arguably his most successful, with more than 250 boats launched between 1976 and 1987. This is the newer and more desirable Series II model.
Wind Dancer's owners have kept her in excellent condition, with upgrades like a new, stronger, keel-lift frame below-decks (2012), new cutlass bearing and dripless shaft (2012), well-maintained Perkins 135hp diesel, new 4 KW generator and water heater (2007), cockpit canvas enclosure (2006) made from the highest quality materials and still clear as glass, newer RIB dinghy and 9 hp Tohatsu outboard (2006) on stern davits, air conditioning (3 units) and Espar forced-air diesel heat, and stereo throughout the boat with individual volume controls in each area.
This three-cabin layout, with a very spacious main salon and roomy island-queen master aft, provides 6'6" headroom. Even the center cockpit offers space and headroom not typically available in a private yacht that a couple can manage.
This vessel offers substantially more than a mid-40's center cockpit boat, yet can be sailed and docked by 2 people. She's attractive to the eye and has been the pride of 4 owners thus far. She's been in the Northwest since 1995, but capable of going anywhere in comfort and safety.
Wind Dancer is an excellent value in today's market - a modern design that gets high marks from today's experts (see John Kretschmer's review in the November, 2008 issue of Sailing Magazine), an extensive equipment list, and many upgrades.
Her liveaboard moorage at the Port of Everett Marina (North Basin) is readily transferable. Don't miss the opportunity to acquire this excellent cruising yacht.
