James Purves, founder of Peninsula Boating, has been an avid boater in this region since the early 1990's. He has previously owned or shared five speedboats, a 36-ft flybridge powerboat, and a 38-ft express cruiser.

Lau Ai Wee, a keen sailor since 2003, has clocked 4000 nautical miles from the Andamans to the South China Sea. A regular on the Raja Muda, King's Cup and Langkawi circuits, she recently crewed with the professional Quantum Racing team for the President's Cup. Ai Wee is a qualified RYA day skipper.
