Our Terms & Policy For Buying a Boat
STEP ONE: The contact
You are looking for a boat and you have visited our website. You are interested in one of the vessels listed here: we can answer all your questions. Just send us an e-mail, we usually answer within 24 hours.
After some contacts, you may fell you have finally found the boat you expected.
We will now help you to purchase it. The procedure is quite simple.
First of all, we send you a "purchase and sale agreement" form that you fill in. This agreement contains YOUR OFFER for the boat. In the same time, you send us a 10% deposit. Of course, this amount will be returned if the boat doesn't match your requirement eventually. Indeed, the purchase and sale agreement is subject to a visual inspection, a sea trial and a survey. If you don't like the boat after these conditions have been verified, the deposit will be transfered back.
Also, you may just sign an offer but the deal is 100% secured when you do the deposit.
STEP TWO: The visit
The owner agrees on the price of the offer. At this moment, you have blocked the boat for the duration decided on the P&S ageement (generally 3-4 weeks).
You can now carry out the visual inspection, the survey and the sea trial.
From now, there are 2 possibilities:
1) The boat is accepatable: we do the paper works for you (STEP 3) and we can also negotiate the price or some repairs with the owner if necessary.
2) The boat is not acceptable after survey: we send your deposit back.
The survey, and the yard expenses are at the charge of the potential buyer.
A boat is a big investement, so before buying it we recommand you to employ a qualified marine surveyor to check your boat out. He will report you the estimated value and all the repairs that need to be done before you purchase. In other word, the surveyor will give you the information to decide either you want the boat or not.
Here are some offical and registered surveyors in the Caribbean (agreed by insurance company, administrations and authorities).

STEP THREE: The closing
The boat is acceptable, all parties agreed on price and repairs, the buyer signs the "acceptance of the vessel", a schedule for the final paiement is done, wire transfert, bank check...
Bill of sale are signed by both parties.
