John Roy
President/Owner
John started with Ocean Yacht Sales in 1980, and in 1990 he purchased the company.
He has sold hundreds of boats and still enjoys working with buyers to help them find their perfect boat.
John is a World Class Etchells Sailor. He was 9th at the 1998 Worlds, he is a World Class J-24 Sailor, and a two time National Champion.
He is also an experienced ocean racer, with many Marblehead to Halifax races under his belt, and is a 2 time Class Winner.
He served as the Vice Commodore of Sailing at the Royal Nova Scotia Yacht Squadron, and also spent many enjoyable years teaching and coaching sailing. He was also an Instructor Evaluator for the CYA.
He received a BA in Economics from Dalhousie University, and his hobbies include family outings, music, skiing, and Racing Sailboats!!!!!
Paul Roy

Paul has been a business owner for most of his career, but he felt it was time to lose the suit and go to work in deck shoes!
Paul’s business experience brings a strong customer based understanding and the ability to comprehend both sides of any deal to Ocean Yacht Sales.
Paul’s sailing resume is quite extensive. He has been the Helmsman of the winning boat on six occasions for the prestigious Prince of Whales Trophy. He is not just a go-fast-man, however, as he has also cruised the waters of Newfoundland, Cape Breton, the Bay of Fundy and the New England Coast.
In short he knows both cruising and racing boats well!
