Welcome to Nord West Yachts
The island of Orust forms part of Sweden’s north-western archipelago, not far from the frontier with Norway. Along this coast the sea has formed islets and skerries out of the granite rock. Ever since the Viking Age and before, fishermen have fought for survival against the storms of the autumn and winter just as they have enjoyed the calm and beauty of the sea under the summer sun.
This is a part of the world where the knack of making the most of the sea and, more specifically, of building boats in which to sail it are part of a proud heritage. The tradition of boatbuilding is a strong one, and one that’s enabled us to combine fine craftsmanship and excellent seagoing qualities with modern technology and the very latest in design. At Nord West Yachts we stand for stability, functionality and timeless elegance. Every time.
There are no short cuts taken in building a Nord West. Indeed, we’ve established ourselves a reputation for the care and attention we lavish on even the smallest detail. Everything, from the lines of the hull and the line of the drive to the fitments belowdecks has been combined to offer a wellbalanced whole. The result? The best of seagoing qualities under way combined with the best of comfort and enjoyment on board.
At Nord West Yachts we build boats that range from 33 to 41 feet over all. We may not be all that large as boatbuilding yards go but, as we see it, that’s where our strength lies. Because our sense of personal involvement is that much greater. And so is our individual know-how. And our feeling for what’s right where.
What’s more, it means that we’re that much more demanding when it comes to materials, design and construction. After all, every boat we build is a Nord West.
Please visit our home page, www.nordwest.se, where you will find all our new boat models and used boats up to date with specifications and a lot of photographs!
