THE BEST WAY TO SELL OURSELVES IS TO LET OUR CUSTOMERS DO IT FOR US!
Hi Tari,You can add me to the list of very happy clients. Since I do not live locally I knew it might be a problem selling my Catalina sailboat. I needed a broker who would be able to handle the details in my absence. You scheduled all the details in a very professional and knowledgeable manner. The entire process moved very quickly and the closing was completed in a very timely manner. I will gladly recommend you to my boating friends. Thank you for your hard work and dedication. I have purchased and sold many boats over the years, but I have never had such a positive broker experience as I had with Tari Soderling leading the process. She is the quintessential project manager, looking carefully over every detail, doing not only her own job but often 'picking up the slack' for the brokers on the other end of the deal. I had a very specific target and compressed timetable to meet and she pulled it off with ease! We are exceedingly happy with the guidance she provided and we got both the boat and deal we were looking for at a price we could afford. She is patient, organized, always positive with a very good sense of humor, and always focused on the end game. I will never hesitate to recommend her to any discerning boat buyer or seller, but more importantly, I've made a great new friend!

I was looking for a good sized classic American blue water sailing yacht and had been working with some other brokers. Tari then showed me a Hinckley that was not quite the right boat but I liked the builder a great deal. Tari was knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with. I concentrated my search with her. A nationwide, then later a worldwide search over the next four months finally came up with a 1983 Hinckley SW 59 masthead sloop that was a bit rough around the edges but I really liked the potential of this big center cockpit masthead sloop with some worthwhile recent mechanical upgrades, and was truly impressed with the quality of build. I was in California and the boat was in the Virgin Islands and then Rhode Island, not easy logistics on this deal. Tari walked me through a lengthy process including owner's sea trial, a haul-out inspection where Tari represented me in Rhode Island through the hull/general, rigging and mechanical surveys. This is an indication of the confidence that I came to have in Tari. She was critical to me in ensuring that I bought the boat for a fair price that has allowed me to bring her back to where this Hinckley should be. Our boat went back in the water in July after 800 hours of repair and renovation work. My family and I spent a week sailing our good old boat around Bristol and Newport. We could not be happier. Quite a process and Tari was there to assist me through it all. Big boats are a complex purchase. Tari navigates these waters with a weather eye and expert helm to the benefit of her clients. She does this in a straightforward, highly communicative and knowledgeable manner. Her integrity through this lengthy, complex process was something that I came to count on.
My yacht broker, the truly amazing and honest (yes, honest yacht broker. I know, I thought this to be an oxymoron as well) Tari Soderling of Newport Coast Yachts had to have been getting tired of carting me all over Southern California to look at meagerly priced vessels. I have little doubt that any commission received from my purchase went directly to her gas bill. Nonetheless, our galavanting from marina to marina paid off one sunny morning in Dana Point Harbor when I came across a 1983 Pacific Seacraft Orion 27.

My wife and I were the owners of the Featured Yacht,"ROSY", an Ocean Alexander 51' Sedan. The sale of our boat was both complicated and stressful for us, especially since we are now out of state residents. Tari was the consummate professional during the whole listing and sale process. Not living in Southern California and trying to sell a large yacht could have been a nightmare if it hadn't been for Tari's never ending positive attitude and help at every turn of events. Tari was always there with returning calls and getting information back to us ASAP. If you can find anyone these days with with such high business and personal standards you have done well. Tari gave us confidence and hope during the whole experience and was successful in bringing us a cash, full price offer and helped close our sale in just two weeks! Needless to say, Tari has become a treasured friend to both my wife and myself. Tari's kindness and service that she provided us will long be remembered and appreciated.

OR, MAYBE LET ANOTHER BROKER DO IT FOR US!
Tari, though I am relatively new to selling boats, I have been in Real Estate and finance for nearly 30 years and know how hard it can be to deal with other agents. However, I would like to tell you that the transaction we worked on together to sell the Carver 35 went extremely well. I do not believe it would have closed as easily if you had not been the agent on the listing side. You kept this transaction together. Your professionalism was a big part of why. Even though I am in Long Beach, I hope that we will have the opportunity to work together again in the future.

Dear Tari, I wanted to take the time out to thank you for providing such wonderful customer service and making my experience buying boat enjoyable and exciting all in a timely manner. I really like your high energy level and the confidence and knowledge that you have in the boating industry. You worked around my schedule making things happen behind the scenes like magic. It was a joy working with you compared to all other brokers I have worked with in the past. I really appreciated you keeping in contact with me during the whole process. The e-mails the phone calls, faxes keeping me informed throughout the whole process. You had my total confidences.
I like good communication and you provided it for me. You followed through with everything that you said you would do and even more. Thank you for setting me up with the company that handled all of the paper work and registration of the boat and trailer. It made life so easy for me. The boat is getting detailed Thursday by the guy you referred me too. I really got a great location in the Marina and it was very easy to deal with it all because of you and your great contacts.
The boat was exactly what I wanted and more. I love my 28ft Sea Ray Sundancer and can hardly wait to start using it on the weekends. Thank you for setting up the training class that is scheduled for 9-30-11 from a coast guard trained personnel, retired. Larry is a great guy!
It really surprised me how much work there is buying a boat and you made it happen in a week working with the broker from Wisconsin and having it shipped out all in the same week to California. Sounds impossible to me but you did it.
I will definitely be using your company Newport Coast Yachts again when I upgrade to my large boat in a few years. I look forward to working with you in the future and thank you for making my purchase a pleasure. Take care and I wish you the very best!

To: Tari Soderling, Newport Coast Yachts
Our first impressions of Newport Coast Yachts were that their understanding of what the purchase of a yacht involves was highly visible. Tari Soderling was very friendly and professional especially when dealing with us who were on the other side of the world. This did not make things too difficult for Tari who was extremely interested in our dream from the start.
The professionalism displayed was extremely high and she was prepared to investigate all the variables that this process might involve. The end result has been very successful with all the paper work accepted at every destination we visited on the voyage back to Australia. We have no hesitation in recommending Newport Coast Yachts, especially Tari to anyone that has had a bad experience with brokers in the past. This process is highly emotional exercise and needs someone like Tari to help you through it all with integrity and thoughtfulness.
A big thank you to Tari and her staff for a highly successful international purchase that has fulfilled a dream that was very close to our hearts.

Just a quick thank you for your attention to detail, sense of humour and time spent with us. We are going home having achieved all we dreamed of.
Just wanted to drop you a note of thanks for selling my 411 Meridian. It's not everyday a yacht broker represents both the buyer and seller and ends up meeting the expectations of all parties. I not only got my price, but made new friends in the process. The buyers joined my Yacht Club and the members thanked me for bringing them on board. I look forward to working with you in the future. Keep up the great work!

Tari Soderling represented the seller and buyer for the RUMLINE in it's last transfer. Tari is an extremely knowledgeable and cooperative broker to work with. She enjoys working closely with her clients and she is very good at what she does.
(BTW, I just sold this boat again! More reviews coming for this boat!)
"Tari made our first yacht purchase a fun learning experience. As first-time buyers, we had a lot of questions, and she took the time to get us the answers we needed to move forward on our deal. I would recommend Tari to anyone who wants a straight-shooting, experienced broker who can get the job done."
Great honest individual and comfortable to work with. You definitely don't feel pressured by this person.

I worked with Tari in buying my Catalina 380. She learned about what I was looking for, contacted me when new listings came up and patiently accompanied me (and sometimes family) as we looked at them. Even though the boat was located in San Diego and the seller was a jerk, she kept up on all the details and was able to get the deal done. Timing was tricky and she made sure things happened when they needed to. I still own the boat, if I were to sell I would definitely contact Tari first.
John Evans is the Best! He made boat shopping a breeze. He told me everything I needed to know from making a boat purchase to boat school.
I highly recommend going to Newport Coast Yachts when you are looking for a great used boat!
Tari made our purchase of "Mogambo", a 34' CHB diesel trawler, very easy ten years ago. She knows boating and provided excellent advice to both seller and buyer, helping us to easily overcome any minor disagreements that arose as we offered and counter offered to a successful sale.
We would strongly recommend Newport Coast Yachts and Tari to anyone selling or buying their dream boat.

Thanks again and again! Ed and I agree that you were the most concerned and creative Broker that worked for both sides! We really enjoyed the Captain too, we will refer you always! Pat and Ed K. 8/5/12
Tari, As I set off with Mike to sail the 8000 NM to our home port of Geelong, Australia, I will be commencing a journey that I have dreamed of doing since I was a young boy. I read all the adventure books and would escape with characters such as Jack Hawkins from Treasure Island. Today these characters are as vivid to me as they were 55 years ago. It is now my turn to visit these exotic places. The Marquesas-Tahiti-The Cook Islands-Tonga-Fiji-Vanuatu-New Caledonia, and onward to our waiting wives and families, a 4 month journey. The fact that I am off on this trip in a beautiful Beneteau Oceanis 373 is firstly because 14 months ago I was referred to you by my friend and fellow adventurer Mike Langdon. He was so pleased with his dealings with you when he bought "Gypsy Jae", a DownEaster 38. I had the pleasure of sailing with this quiet achiever from Noumea to Brisbane. Over the 14 months, you, Tricia, and I steered a course through the snares and rocks that are there to entrap a "dream boat" buyer. Over this period of time, you have demonstrated to me that you are a lighthouse upon a dangerous and dark ocean that has it's share of unscrupulous participants, people that are more interested in making their commission rather than achieving for the buyer the realization of their dream. That is why we buy boats, to fulfill our dreams, not forgetting old Rat from Wind in the Willows who said "Ain't nothin' worth half so much doing as messing around in boats". I have sent you my In-Reach details so you can follow our trip- a journey that will take Mike and myself home, half a world away, Mike's second trip as Captain of a "little boat", so satisfied are we.

Tari offered to help us find a new boat. After looking all over So Cal we started looking north. She couldn't get on an airplane fast enough to look at boats in Washington. We looked until we found it. She made the deal and went back to Washington to sea trial. This was in 2000 and we still have and love this boat! Thanks to Tari's hard work we got a great deal and never paid her a cent. You will love what she can do for you!
We purchased our first boat and it wouldn't have been possible without Tari. Tari exercised extreme patience from day one in order to help us determine what type and size boat would suite us best. She took us to docks all over Southern California, showed us one boat after the other and explained the pros and cons of each. We never felt pressured to make an offer, increase our offer, or spend less time looking. She encouraged us to take our time to make sure we found the right fit, and was excellent and fair in negotiating the sale with the seller. Tari's knowledge and expertise in boating paired with her ethical business conduct is a win-win for all. We hope she sails with us soon!
