The Northrop & Johnson Group

Our alliances and industry network, provides Northrop and Johnson's clients with broad representation of their yachts in every major yachting centre ...

Shortly after World War II Jim Northrop and George Johnson formed a partnership to provide a quality yacht brokerage service to their close circle of yachting companions on Long Island Sound. The first office opened in 1949 at 366 Madison Avenue in lower Manhattan and served as the foundation for the fledging brokerage that was soon to expand into one of the largest and most respected yacht brokerages in the world. Northrop and Johnson's Yankee heritage was reflected in the company's reputation for honesty, integrity, and fair play.

Northrop and Johnson's reputation as the "Gentlemen Brokers" spread quickly in the tightly knit New York yachting community and by the early 1960's the company expanded with branch offices in Stamford, CT, Miami, FL, and Marblehead, MA. In 1971 Kees Van Vliet opened the first US Yacht Brokerage office in Europe in Cannes, France. By the late 70's there were additional offices in Newport, RI, Puerto Buenos, Spain and St. Petersburg, FL.

During the 70's and 80's Northrop and Johnson became the premier large yacht brokerage in the United States. Many of the industry's most recognizable names began their careers at Northrop and Johnson. Today Northrop and Johnson is recognized at every major yachting venue throughout the world.

Northrop and Johnson now has seven offices located in Ft. Lauderdale, Boston, Newport, San Diego, Palma, Spain, Hong Kong and Singapore. Our alliances and network, provide Northrop and Johnson's clients with broad representation of their yachts in every major yachting centre and provide Northrop and Johnson brokers with vital information and valuable shore side support. Northrop and Johnson is the first major yacht brokerage to integrate their services with likeminded brokerage's whose business practices are in alignment with Northrop and Johnson's history of service to the yachting community. Northrop and Johnson and their affiliate offices continue to do business in the Yankee tradition putting honesty and integrity above the bottom line quest for maximizing profit.

Vessel Walkthrough

This superb Power Catamaran has been designed with large family onwership in mind with extensive accommodation for both family, guests and crew (up to 13 guests in 5 staterooms and a number of additional casual berths).

With a displacement hull she has a very long range and fuel consumption will hardly differ from slower speeds up to the maximum 25 knots +.

The hull and superstructure has been constructed using the very latest technology from High Modulus who inspected the construction at every stage. The yacht was built to DnV standard though was not necessary to be classed due to the owners requirements.

The yacht has extensive redundancy in its main systems with key engineering being duplicated throughout provided great backup and independent secuiry while at sea.

There are enormous entertainment and outdoor areas giving the owners high flexibility in its usage. The massive deck spaces provide a perfect platform for long range cruising, large numbers of guests, fishing and diving and parties/functions.

The owner has already decided to construct a larger yacht and thus she is for sale.

The yacht could easily be converted for charter or luxury dive use.

The yacht will be launched in March 2012 to undergo Sea Trials with verification by an independent surveyor. The yacht will then go on display at the Singapore Yacht Show at the end of April 2012.
