Welcome to The Multihull Company

Welcome to the Multihull Company. My name is Phillip Berman, and I am a lifetime catamaran racer and sailor. I am the author of the best-selling catamaran training manual of all time, CATAMARAN SAILING FROM START TO FINISH (W.W. Norton, NY), and have written six other books on sailing and racing multihulls. As a student at Harvard in the 1980's I represented the U.S. in numerous catamaran regattas all over the world, placing first, second, and third in world championship competition. In short, unlike most brokers, I draw upon thirty years of multihull sailing experience.
No matter what sort of multihull you are looking for - whether new or used - we promise you expert advice and ethical, caring service. We strive hard to save you from making a costly mistake, to get your catamaran for the best price, and to spare you from a bundle of headaches. Please give us a call for a free one hour conversation about your next multihull - you'll be forever grateful that you did. To learn more about our championship services, please visit us at:

46' Dolphin Dolphin 460
2006
US$ 689,000
SV Roam is as close to a new, turn-key Dolphin 460 as you could find. Her owner ordered her new and commissioned her in February of 2006. He then sailed her from Brazil with his family to Trinidad and around the Caribbean for another four months. He then arrived in Charleston where he set to work to build his new home and get his children off to college. He has come to see that the demands of his current obligations do not allow him to use Roam nearly enough. She is, as he told me, "a bit big for a day sailor."
Roam has about every option you can get - large generator, full air conditioning, water maker, single-side-band radio, RIB dinghy, bowsprit and screecher, deck washdown pump, hard top divinicell bimini, teak cockpit table, folding props, Simrad radar, chartplotter, BG autopilot and wind, speed, depth instruments, ice maker, stereo, salon table that converts to a bed or can become a coffee table, 6 person liferaft....you get the picture.
To obtain a copy of Roam's extensive inventory, please email or call us. Replacement value for this yacht, at current pricing, would be well over $750,000. Call Phillip Berman to learn more about this turn-key Dolphin 460.
