Summit Yachts at McMichael Yacht Brokers
The team at Summit Yachts made a big splash on the IRC scene with the Mark Mills-designed King 40 in 2009. Based on the success of the 40 and several other top-performing Mills designs, Summit Yachts has unveiled the Summit 35, and we are proud to be exclusive dealers for both boats.
Both boats will now be built at Edgewater Boats in Florida. A local racer and American YC member will be the first proud owner of a Summit 35 on Long Island Sound. The owner, whose previous boats include a J/120 and Swan 45, is excited to campaign the boat in the highly competitive "IRC 35" division.

Summit 35 Named "Best IRC Racer" by Sailing World Magazine
This marks the second year in a row that Summit Yachts has been named in Sailing World's BOTY rankings. The magazine commented that the 35 is "definitely optimized to do well under IRC, especially in light air."
Summit 35 hull #1, "Act One," claimed victory in the Wirth Munroe Yacht Race from Ft. Lauderdale to Palm Beach. The Summit corrected-out in first place by a 6-minute margin in an IRC class that included several TP-52's and a Cookson 50. The race was sailed in light-air conditions. A great first outing!
The latest photos from builder Edgewater Boats in Florida - #3 is taking shape and will be on display at our yard in February.
