Employment

Fiberglass Repair with general boating skills.

Experience with structural glass repair, gelcoat repair, vacuum bagging, epoxy, polyester and vinylester resins. Estimate preparation a plus. This is a hands-on full time job with lots of seasonal overtime for a person skilled in many areas of boat maintenance, systems repair and installation. Sailing experience another plus – experience as a full time captain on a offshore cruising or racing sailboat a plus-plus. You must fit in with an experienced crew and be anxious to improve your skills.

Sailboat Mechanic

Career position in the boat business. McMichael Yacht Yard, Mamaroneck, NY. Knowledge of commissioning and decommissioning diesel sailboats/systems. General boating experience. You will be working with the help of an experienced marine mechanic for a boat yard in business since 1935. Seasonal training courses encouraged. Full time, health benefits, 401k

Although we are currently well staffed, I am always interested in talking with people who combine proven sales skills with a depth of personal boating experience. We offer in-house "yacht brokerage" sales training and an experienced sales coordinator who assists all McMichael brokers with new boat orders, titles, transfers and closings.
