Our business philosophy is serious yet simple. We present our vessels with professional photographs and ample text to properly show the public that our vessels are of a higher caliber than others out there of the same year, make and model.
We strive to hire professional people, not professional boat salesmen. We prefer to take top professional Mariners who are presently Captains of their own vessels and train them in our methodology.
This philosophy has enabled us to have the finest and most highly qualified sales force in the business. Our salesmen are currently boat owners and have been boat owners for many years. They understand your needs!
The listing broker and I personally visit every vessel that we list. We meet with the owners to discuss their needs and desires.
BIOGRAPHY:
Capt. Tim Kleihege is a product of Northwest Indiana. He attended LaLumiere High School in La Porte, Indiana and graduated with a Political Economy degree from Hillsdale College in Michigan in 1985.
Capt. Kleihege was employed and a partner with two Specialist trading entities on the Chicago Stock Exchange from 1985 until 2003.
During his trading career as a member of the Chicago Stock Exchange he was also the owner of Great Lakes Marine Surveying, Inc., a member of The Society of Accredited Marine Surveyors (S.A.M.S). and The American Boat and Yacht Council.
He received his United States Coast Guard license in 2003 and also owns Fantastic Voyage Charters based out of New Buffalo, Michigan.
When The Mariner Network was established in 2003, it ranked 166th of 166 brokerage companies in the four state area (Illinois, Indiana, Michigan and Wisconsin). Today The Mariner Network ranks 4th of 171 brokerage companies as far as the number of vessels listed.
The Mariner Network has listing agents that cover north of Chicago, Illinois to Holland, Michigan.
Capt. Kleihege resides in La Porte, Indiana with his wife Katie and three kids, Matthew (13), Ana (10) and William (5).
