Meet the Lucid Family

Lucid Marine image
The decision to get on the water is instinctive, unfortunately how to go about it is not. At any one time there are tens of thousands of boats for sale making the selection process a daunting task. Your intended purpose, boating area and budget help to narrow the field, but that’s only if you were truly honest with yourself and even then hundreds if not thousands of choices remain. You can then spend the next 10 to 18 months gathering enough knowledge to help you pin down the models that will fit your needs then another six months while you find the best kept/outfitted/priced one. A big sigh of relief before making the offer, then hoping you didn’t leave money on the table and that you’ll know how to handle the surveyors, finance, insurance, contract attorneys, title agency, safety inspections, offshore closing options……or you can contact someone that eats, breathes and dreams about this. Someone experienced enough to see past the shiny lacquered interiors or to find the diamond in the rough. Someone who understands the art of making the deal, but will ethically represent you to ensure a transparent transaction. You need a Lucid professional to keep the experience the way it should be: exciting, assuring and rewarding.

Brant Rose

Broker

Brant Rose began his love affair with boating in the 3rd grade, with a 12’ open fishing boat with a 2.5 horsepower kicker, piloting it on the Dead River in Central Florida. As a young father of three boys, boating was the recreation of choice. Over the years the size of the family boat steadily increased. The biggest jump came in 2000 when they jumped from a 24 foot boat to a 47 foot yacht. Brant was approaching retirement after 30 years as a detective with the Orange County Sheriff’s Department, and the children were grown. He and his wife wanted to experience long-range cruising in the Bahamas. They made several month long trips to the Bahamas, learning a lot about what features are critical to comfortable long-term cruising. While the 47 foot boat was perfect for them and one other couple, it wasn’t large enough to accommodate the whole family. They decided to jump up to a larger yacht.

In 2003, after looking at yachts for almost a year, they saw a 2001 62 foot Symbol Pilothouse Motor Yacht and fell in love with it. Since buying their Symbol yacht, which they named Lady Lynn, they have spent the last five summers cruising the Bahamas during June and July. Their favorite anchorages are in the Exumas, where they love to anchor out for a month at a time. Brant’s hands-on experience with all of the yacht’s systems has enabled him to trouble-shoot any problem that came up. He also has regularly provided help to other boaters.

Brant was so impressed with his Symbol yacht, that he decided to become a broker for them. He loves sharing what he has learned from his cruising and maintenance experience with others who want to live their dream of yachting. Brant and his son, Michael, operate as a sales team, with each bring special technical skills which enable them to provide valuable advice and suggestions to prospective customers that many other yacht salesmen cannot. Brant can be reached on his cell phone at 407-342-9652 or Brant@lucidmarine.com.

Michael Rose

Broker

Michael Rose began his boating career as an infant on board his parents various runabouts. When old enough he began boating on his own in the backwaters of the Mosquito Lagoon. Having been lucky enough to grow up on the water, he has been exposed to many different styles of boats, from flats boats to yachts. He also has been an avid reader of just about every boating magazine available, ever since he could read. As a result, he has an in-depth knowledge of almost every aspect of boating, including maintenance, navigation and communications systems. Boating is a passion he shares with his father, who he has always assisted in maintaining the family’s various boats, which currently number four.

In 2000, he began spending time aboard his parent’s 47 foot yacht, cruising the coast of Florida and the Bahamas. In 2003, he was introduced to Symbol yachts via his parents search for a larger boat. The search for the ideal cruising yacht resulted in the purchase of a 62 foot Symbol Pilothouse Motor Yacht. Michael’s cruising experience gives him tremendous insight into what makes a quality and capable cruising vessel. Since 2004, Michael has been a salesman of Symbol yachts. Because he has been closely involved with the commissioning and updating of several Symbol yachts, he is able to explain the workings of the equipment onboard the yachts he sells. Also, his passion for keeping up to date with the changing navigational and electrical equipment available to yachtsmen today is very helpful for clients outfitting or updating their vessel.

Michael enjoys working as a sales team with his father, Brant Rose. The two of them working together brings a unique depth of experience and technical know-how to their clients. He can be reached on his cell phone at 407-497-7875 or Michael@lucidmarine.com.
