LION YACHTS was establishd in 1960 by Dave Toombs to be the
East Coast Importer/Distributor for the CHEOY LEE SHIPYARDS
of Hong Kong, initially importing the 35' Robb/ LION class
(all-Teak but, later fiberglass). We then went on to establish many CHEOY LEE
sailboat projects: ROBB, RHODES, ALDEN, LUDERS, PERRY, & PEDRICK designs. In the '80s we also imported the BABAs from TA SHING. About 1992 CHEOY LEE decided to build only large
motorsailers and motoryachts, ending sailboat production. LION YACHTS now acts as a Broker specializing in CHEOY LEE and TA SHING sailing yachts. After over 80 visits to Hong Kong over the years by Dave Toombs, no one is more familiar with CHEOY LEE construction details of all vintages. LION YACHTS Lists only yachts actually inspected and approved by Dave Toombs and that are in superior condition with an excellent Ownership history. In buying a CHEOY LEE yacht you will be in good company with 5,300 Owners to date. Ask the man who owns one.
