BOAT SHOW, June 14 & 15
THANK YOU for a very successful 12th Annual Father’s Day Weekend BOAT SHOW – SWAP MEET – FUNDRAISER
Prayers were answered and the weather was spectacular! We had 31 powerboats on the water in the La Conner Marina on the South guest dock (we couldn’t fit any more) and 3 more on trailers open on display at the top of the dock. We sure hope you enjoyed the variety of boats available to peruse!!!
This was the biggest turnout of boat show guests we have had to date, the boat show dock was humming with activity both Saturday and Sunday. We met guests from Canada, Bow, Anacortes, Arlington, Lynnwood, Seattle, Edmonds, Tacoma, Bothell, and from Connecticut!
Due to your generosity, our 2008 fundraising benefactor Skagit Bay Search and Rescue was able to collect over $5,700.00 in donations! Thank you so very much!! These much needed funds will help to fund insurance and fuel costs, equipment needs and training. SBSAR thanks the PORT OF SKAGIT, LA CONNER MARINA for their very generous contribution to this fundraiser!!!
Over 600 hot dogs were consumed, and your wonderful donations were once again VERY generous! Please know that every dollar and cent donated goes directly to our benefactor. We have enjoyed serving the needs of our community in such a fun and entertaining manner!!! A very heartfelt THANK YOU to ACOSTA for their donation of the hot dogs!
Thanks to all the swap meet participants, both buyers and sellers alike!! The swap meet makes our boat show ‘special’, we love having the community members get together and enjoy some fun camaraderie. PACIFIC MARINER INC really outdid themselves this year with an outstanding selection of high quality surplus goods!
We have so many people to thank, this annual event took over 35 volunteers to set up, run and take down. Four friends drove up from Oregon, the remainder are LOCALS or from Seattle, Hood Canal, Woodinville, Kenmore, Puyallup and Lyle, Washington. It is imperative that we thank each friend individually;
