KITTERY POINT YACHT YARD: KPYY is a Full Service Yacht Yard with two locations off the Piscataqua River in Southern Maine across from Portsmouth, NH. We have been providing quality service to mariners up and down the east coast for over 37 years. KPYY acquired Pattens Yacht Yard in 2007. This transaction combined the two oldest, southernmost and well respected yards in the area. Together we have combined a proud tradition of boat building, vessel refurbishement and repair. Our full time crew boasts over 250 years of collective knowledge and experience. We have dry storage capacity for up to 200 boats with a haul out capacity of up to 70 tons. Our Kittery mooring field consists of 43 deep water moorings in the most protected basin in the area. Our mechanical technicians are trained in all major propulsion systems. We have full capabilities for all your service and repair needs including all system installs, custom welding, electrical, Awlgrip, fine brush varnish, gelcoat and major glass repairs, professional rigging, shipwright carpentry, electronics, ac, plumbing and all interior and exterior cosmetics. We are dealers for Westerbeke, Yanmar, Kohler and are recognized service centers for Sabre Yachts, Hatteras Yachts and Hamilton Jet Drive systems. We take the repair and maintenance of your vessel very serioulsy. All repairs are done to ABYC standards. Our talented and experienced crew will care for your boat in the manner you expect and deserve.

Under the management of George A. Patten, Kittery Point Boatbuilders has a proud tradition of yacht design and custom boat building of both wooden and fibergalss boats from 8 to 50 ft. We have a history of finishing off downeast hulls from Lowell Brothers, Hinckley, Duffy, Holland, and several others. Patten's Yacht Yard was the past builder of the Francis Kinney (of Sparkman & Stevens) design 36ft sloops. We are the proud builder of the George Patten design PYY 22'. The PYY 22 embodies the qualities of workmanship and sea-keeping ability that Maine-built boats have come to demonstrate with an emphasis on custom design work for the discriminating buyer who wants more than a production boat.
