Najad 355.

Designed in cooperation between Najad / judel, vrolijk & co and Dick Young designs, the new 355 (10.9m LOA) is a superbly made, contemporary looking cruising yacht for the modern age.

The 355 has a smooth, clean look and a lower hull profile than you may have expected. A narrow waterline entry, with V-shaped sections fore and U-shaped sections aft, combine form stability for good upwind performance with excellent sea-keeping.

As one of Europe’s most forward thinking yacht builders, it has been decided that the new 355 will be the first Najad to be constructed from SP Systems epoxy hull technology. Once the preserve of high-tech racing yachts, modern epoxy systems are generally regarded as a higher level of construction technique and explains why in similar fields, such as aircraft construction, epoxy is a material of choice.

Najad 380

Sailing in a Najad 380 is all about one thing: quality of life. You know it, we know it and everybody who has ever sailed a yacht knows it: nothing beats being with family or good friends on a day out at sea.

This simple fact is the basis of how we work at Najad. The design, the construction and the smallest of details all focus on making your sailing a very special experience. This means that the Najad 380 is beautifully constructed to be easy to handle as well as offering the best sailing features. The interior is planned to make life aboard safe and easy, as well as pleasing other senses – sight and touch. Because of our experience gained over many years of boat building, we can ensure you have a really comfortable life at sea.

Add to this the sparkling performance of the 380, where the pedigree and skill of Najad combine with the co-operation with one of the world’s leading yacht designers, judel/vrolijk & co. This yacht is equally at home club racing or cruising comfortably with a family.

Najad 405

Discover a new side to Najad. The yacht you’re going to read about here is a very special yacht for us. A proud carrier of classic traditions, and at the same time a yacht that exhibits new, exciting and perhaps somewhat unexpected sides.

Above all it’s all about superb sailing qualities. Working together with judel/vrolijk & co, we’ve made the Najad 405 faster, nimbler and easier to manoeuvre than just about anything else in its class. Inside you’ll be welcomed by a modern, exclusive interior fashioned in close cooperation with London-based designer Dick Young. The brief was not to revolutionise, but rather to refine, enhance and refresh.

The result is a thoroughly thought-out, timeless combination of form, function and comfort for a fulfilling life on board. In all other respects, the Najad 405 remains very much what you would expect of a Najad. A highly seaworthy, well-built and comfortable 40-foot family cruiser with classically appealing lines. A yacht in which you can sail around the world if you want or a yacht for you to share the very best with those in your world.

Najad 440AC

The swiftest Najad ever. Building a fast sailing yacht is naturally a major challenge. But combining first-class sailing properties with genuine comfort and generous accommodation is even more challenging.

Like most recent Najad models, the Najad 440 was developed in cooperation with one of the world’s most highly renowned sailboat designers: judel/vrolijk & co. Their long experience of racing yachts, including America’s Cup winners, has resulted in a very modern hull shape that enables the Najad 440 to be the most performance-oriented Najad model to date.

The hull is dimensioned with immense precision, featuring a somewhat slimmer entry and sharper stern than its siblings in the Najad range. The Najad 440 is also equipped with a balanced spade-rudder, with no skeg. It gives you a particularly distinct and light rudder feel that makes the vessel easy to steer, tack and manoeuvre.

An all-new, narrower but deeper keel, with a short fore and aft chord length with a delta-shaped bulb and a low centre of gravity enables great lift, quick tacking and extremely good stability. Rigged with a keel stepped mast and three spreaders are further examples of how we combine performance with safe, comfortable sailing. Although the Najad 440 has plenty of space on board for all the family, it has also been designed so you can sail it short-handedly.

Najad 505 Introducing the brand new Najad 505 (LOA: 15.3 m) Welcome to the sparkling new Najad 505 representing a new era for Najad.

This wonderful new yacht has been created out of our core principals for quality, performance, safety and good sea-keeping ability. Whilst retaining the essential Najad family resemblances, few would disagree that in terms of aesthetic design and shear good looks, the new Najad 505 sets us unequivocally streets ahead of many of our competitors.

Apart from the centre cockpit layout, there’s almost nothing ‘traditional’ about the entire yacht. In fact, range designers judel, vrolijk & co have made a statement out of every feature, and few would doubt that from any angle the N-505 is a pleasure to behold.

The narrow waterline entry, fairly plumb bow and U-shaped sections aft are a good indicator of the kind of performance you can expect, yet this yacht is primarily designed for cruising couples and offered with a choice of different interior options, centred around the need to accommodate children or occasional guests, as required. Underneath the hull a 2.4 m delta bulb keel will be offered as standard. The new N-505 is equipped with a balanced spade rudder, with no skeg, offering a light feeling to the helm, quicker tacking ability and easier close quarters maneuverability.

Of immediate impact is the low profile coach roof and flush fitting, elongated port lights on each side. Seen together these two aspects accentuate the long, low and smooth look of the overall design.

Similarly, the flush fitting skylights and clean looking deck design are intended to promote a feeling of efficiency and calmness on-board. Rope ‘clutter’ will be kept to a minimum as lines are led aft from the bottom of the mast and concealed under the coach roof, where they re-emerge into the cockpit, close to four stoppers and three Andersen ribbed full stainless steel winches on each side.

The spacious and sociable cockpit area houses a large central table and modern looking helm station, leather covered wheel and engine control. Protection is provided by the now familiar wrap around screen, edged in aluminium and a handsome looking design feature in its own right.

For all of the right reasons, Najad interiors have been the subject of much discussion in the recent past, and our collaboration with interiors specialists, Rhoades Young (formerly Dick Young designs) continues.

As with other recent new Najads, the emphasis with the N-505 has been placed upon a brighter, more contemporary look and feel to the interior. Almost every aspect of the interior joinery, corners and junctions have been rationalised and simplified and this has created a feeling of greater space and calmness, with less clutter.

Predominantly two carefully selected woods, African Mahogany and Brazilian Jatoba are matched together against a backdrop of creamy white panels and head linings. Options for seat and bedding fabrics will be carefully contained within Najad’s ‘template’ for style and intended to coordinate well within their surroundings.

The new Najad 505 has a fully equipped galley with extremely attractive counter tops, plenty of food stowage space and a twin stainless steel sink with single lever luxury tap. A galley that will accommodate most owners requirements for extended cruising.

The full width owner’s cabin aft has a large bed, its own washroom and plenty of storage and can be specified with either a settee or desk option on the port side. In the bow section the option allows for a further large double guest cabin with separate washroom or a twin bunk bed arrangement, sharing a single washroom.

We think you will agree the brand new Najad 505 is a formidable package of style and substance and sets a new standard for our yacht range and the future direction of our company.

Najad 511

"From the moment you step aboard you feel you're standing on a custom yacht. Hey beautifully laid teak decks, custom stainless steel fittings and rock solid feel throughout put her in a different class. Her familiar styling, similar to that of many other Swedish yachts, seems to come into its own at this size and is refined to a delicate balance of understated elegance."
