Islands Marine Center, Inc. Spring Rendezvous
If you didn’t attend our Spring Rendezvous last year, you’ve got to put it on your calendar for 2011! We held it at Poets Cove Resort and Spa.
Last year was a huge success with more than 90 people attending the weekend’s events. And we can’t wait to do it all over again at this year’s rendezvous! Poets Cove Resort and Spa has been featured in several boating publications. The resort has a heated pool as well as a hot tub, two excellent restaurants a gorgeous pub and several different types of entertainment, including hiking, kayaking, sight-seeing and golf and a spa complete with steam cave.
Once again, you can either rent one of the resort’s lovely rooms or reserve a spot on the spacious dock. For moorage reservations, call 1-866-888-2683 and let them know you are with Islands Marine Center, as we have already blocked 40 slips. The moorage rate is $1.10 per foot. 2009 we had a record year and almost filled up their docks and 22 of the rooms.
The Sea Glass Ballroom is where we had all our meals together. Friday we had a welcome buffet, then Saturday breakfast and dinner and an evening of great prizes.
Last years prize girls- Elizabeth, Mariah and Katherine handed out all the prizes. They were dressed in their best Velvet dresses with gloves.
Ed Ferro wins a prize. IMC wants to thank him and his wife Jan, they are from the Friday Harbor Power Squadron and they gave any person who wanted a safety inspection. They did a great job and everyone was very happy for the time and effort they put into it.
We want to thank our vendor and suppliers for the great raffle prizes. Diversified, Fisheries, Yamaha, Garmin, Volvo, Harbercraft and Pursuit. We gave away SS BBQ's, wake board skies, 303, fishing poles & reels, tuna gear, boat hooks, life vests and much more.
John Moore has a wining ticket and a funny story to tell!!
Katherine is busy passing out prizes. This was her 6th year attending the event. She looks forward to it all year long.
Steve Kyser was a Pursuit Mug winner and he couldn't have been happier. A great weekend with fabulous weather, friends new & old, and great food and adventure.
Mariah was the newest prize girl. She fit right in and enjoyed herself with the big girls.
