Meet the IMC Crew
This photo of Ron & Jenn was taken at our 2005 Poets Cove Rendezvous in April. Still going strong and with a new boat line - The Ocean Sport Roamer 30'.
Service Department - Chela (pronounced Cha'la) King. Chela is helping to coordinate scheduling, receive and return phone calls and tackle the daily mountain of office paperwork. She also assists with moorage (both permanent and transient) and fills in at the front counter during lunch breaks. Chela has been with IMC for a number of years now.
Lorrie Johnson is the office assistant in the very busy service department. She addresses alot of the billing needs in that department. When she isn't at work she enjoys working on her art work and other hobbies, or boating around the San Juan Islands with a few friends.
Lynn moved here in 1989 after she and her husband traded in their old boat for a new one from IMC. "Most of our boating has been fishing, and there's nothing better that getting off work, walking down the dock, firing up the motor and just getting out there for a couple hours before going home. I count my life pretty lucky to have combined a life-long bookkeeping career with one of my favoite hobbies."
Ask for Lynn about your account, bills we pay, office policies, store and office employment opportunities and benefits.
Diana Cochran (right) has lived on Lopez for 20 years and worked for IMC for 7. She and her husband Larry have two kids-Sara & Tyler. She enjoys her horses and is involved in 4-H. If you have any questions about your Marina bill talk with her.
Our Sales Manager, Captain Brian Krantz, has had an adventurous maritime career. Before moving to the San Juan Islands in 1999, Brian was a vessel assist captain for a towing and salvage company in Santa Cruz, Calif. It was while he was working in this industry that he received the prestigious Woody Pollock Memorial Captain of the Year Award, presented to one outstanding captain each year.
Before delving into the marine industry, Brian enjoyed adventures such as riding his bike across the United States, backpacking across Europe, owning a tropical fish store and working as a kayak tour guide through-out the Santa Cruz Island sea caves.
Brian graduated from the University of Santa Barbara where he minored in mechanical engineering, philosophy, religious studies and psychology.
Brian, and wife Christina, spend much of their time these days with the newest addition to their family, daughter Elizabeth, born January 27, 2003.
Since joining the IMC team on March 1, 2004, Brian immediately produced the knowledgeable, friendly and quality service for which our facility has become famous. Its just all so positive, he said of his job. I get a big kick out of that.
Lesley Combs, IMC's Sales Assistant, began her boating life in 1988, when she and her husband purchased a sailboat. In 1989 they sailed from Seward Alaska to Washington (and had an incredible 2 1/2 months). They were live-aboards for 5 years, 3 of which were on Lopez at Islands Marine Center.

During her off time away from work, Amanda likes to go fishing and spend time with friends and family.
Gary Gross comes to IMC after spending the last 15 years in Santa Cruz, CA. While in Santa Cruz Gary worked in Inventory Control at the West Marine corporate headquarters for 3 years before moving to Lopez in June 2001.

Kate Steidl started with IMC Napa in June 2004 and has lived on Lopez for 7 years. She originally came from the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania and has 20 plus years of Hardlines retail management with a special background in inventory control.
