April 18 & 19th, 2008 "The Commodores Get Ready for Spring Cruising Event!!!"

A total of ten boats participated ranging in size from 32 to 49 feet.The planned Friday afternoon appies and happy hour shifted from the docks to the warmth of Tom and Susan’s Sea Gypsy, we were gratefully that the salon of the 49 could hold us all.Dinner was set up as a “Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner” event with several predetermined host boats having no idea who was coming for dinner until the guests arrived with wine and contribution in hand, the guests not knowing where they were going until mid afternoon.Sunday morning left some more time to chat and visit and then it was off to home ports, fortunately in much better weather. By all reports everyone had a great time and we all felt much better in the morning than some of us have at past rendezvous. Thanks to all that came out, hopefully we can continue the tradition in future years if there is sufficient interest.

This heartwarming & incredible event not only brought smiles & laughter to the children but also to those that participated. Out of 35 pirate ships , 6 were Grand Banks. The Grand yachts crew were aboard " Bountiful" & "Charlton"
