Welcome to Great Lakes Yacht Services
Great Lakes Yacht Services (GLYS) was founded on the original Palmer Johnson site in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin, in the summer of 2003. GLYS Owners, Sheila and Scotty Turner, have been the Owners of the great yard for decades and are no strangers to the yachting industry.
GLYS boasts a vast array of skilled craftsmen and the Sturgeon Bay facility features all new floating docks and deep-water access as well as updated electrical, plumbing, and an entirely new sea wall built in 2003. It’s better here!
Whether you own a 26’ or 90’ vessel, count on the fact that GLYS staff have “been there and done that”. If you are looking for inside heated or inside unheated, we have the secure, clean storage you are looking for and at very competitive rates.
GLYS features full service, refit, storage and a first class yacht sales and brokerage operation. Clients can feel confident that they are being handled by industry veterans whose focus is very simply.....putting the pleasure back in pleasure boating.
GLYS service technicians have done more major refit and repairs than any other repair facility on the Great Lakes. Whether major mechanical, cosmetic, metal, glass or wood, our team is familiar in all disciplines. Our team knows the importance of each customer and strives to exceed expectations.

42' Ocean Alexander 423 Classicco
2003
US$ 345,000
!!!!! PRICE REDUCED !!!! THIS IS THE BEST 423 OCEAN ALEXANDER AVAILABLE
BEST EQUIPPED, 2011 ELECTRONICS, FRESH WATER, ONE OWNER, HEATED STORAGE
The 423 is a well-crafted cruising yacht with a trunk cabin profile, full walk-around decks, and a straight forward two-stateroom interior layout. Ocean Alexander's Classicco series appeals to owners who enjoy the look and feel of a traditional trawler but want something better than typical low-speed trawler performance. With her wide beam, the Classicco is a roomy boat for her length and her cutaway keel provides protection for the running gear in the event of a grounding. Her stylish profile is accented with a rakish bridge overhang, and the Classicco's house is set well forward on the foredeck in order to expand the salon and galley dimensions. The staterooms in the standard floor plan are arranged with V-berths forward and a walk-around queen bed aft. The galley is forward in the salon, and a lower helm and (2)deck access doors are provided. The twin 300 hp Cat diesels will cruise her at 18 mph, and reach a top speed of 22-23mph.
This may be the best-equipped 423 Classicco ever launched. In addition to her upgraded Cat 3126 Diesels, she features full upper and lower stations with redundancies of virtually every electronic component. She has only been in fresh water, heated winter storage, and shows only 356 hours on her engines. There is a hydraulic davit crane, (2) radars (three screens), and this past winter she received all new canvas, a stern thruster to complement the bow thruster, and Sat. T.V. She was also given a professional multi-step detailing before launch this year. Please review the complete specifications for more details on this special opportunity.
