Three key factors cause the majority of the wear and tear on most boats.
They are saltwater, sun and usage.

(1) Inland boats sit in fresh water, not in corrosive salt water. The salt is in the air and corrodes everything.
(2) The further north you go, the less intense the sun, and hence, the less intense the amount of sun fade on the gelcoat and canvas.
(3)Finally and most importantly is the length of the boating season. In the northern part of country the boating season is very short only 3 to 4 months long. Most southern or coastal boats sit in the water year round, are used year round so they are exposed to these harsh elements 12 months out of the year. Also their hulls never have the opportunity to dry out.

A fresh water boat that is located inland, typically gets used 3 to 4 months of the year, then gets pulled and stored, either covered on the hard deck or inside stored in a heated facility. These boats have the least amount of exposure to these 3 harsh elements, and typically the further north you go, the nicer the boats. Our advice to our clients is always the same, "Buy a fresh water boat located in the northern section of the country."

One of the finest mid-sized sedans ever produced in this country - the 400 Sedan Bridge is sexy, rakish, and thoroughly imbued with the type of luxury styling found in expensive European sport yachts. The two staterooms, convertible dinette and salon convertible sofa provide comfortable accommodations for a small crowd. Ultra leather interior upholstery and cherry faced cabinetry offer a lush living area.

A large bridge has setting for 3 at the helm and a U-shaped dinette that easily converts to a sun lounge. The cockpit is roomy enough for several chairs and the transom door allows for easy access from dinghy or dock. The cockpit is well shaded by a fly bridge overhang. The wide stairway to the bridge is comfortable and safe for the young and not-so-young. The helm station is well equipped and provides a perfect command station for the captain.

The Sea Ray 400 Sedan Bridge has a spacious layout with two staterooms and two heads with separate showers. The galley boasts a full sized refrigerator, stove, coffeemaker, blender and a huge closet pantry, as well as significant cabinet and floor storage. The master stateroom has a custom made queen sized mattress, and the guest stateroom can be configured with two twin beds, or one queen.

A hatch in the cockpit sole provides access to the engine compartment.
