Hi Vic....well just finished the straits race....130 miles in Georgia straits...start was downwind in about10 kts...a 50 mile run...winds built to about 20..boat got to 15kts surfing along...then about a 30 mile beat match racing the Santa Cruz 52...spanked her good next run was in about 25kts....we were hitting 17s and 18s regular....the beat home about 40 miles....sailed in 35-45kts...we were doing 8-10 going to weather flying off waves....full main and number 4....what a great ride...covered the course in just over 18 hours....one of only three boats to finish out of 40 starters ....the other two Santa Cruz’s 70 and 52....we won by over an hour. Ross MacDonald drove the long beat home...what a hell of a sailor....never experienced anybody who can drive like that...what a nice guy and a great coach!
So...we're 4 races....4 wins so far! The boat is headed for Seattle next, there are some 1D48s there, one of them Bill Buchan...so we'll get tested pretty good there!
Vic I am absolutely thrilled with the boat...she looks way cool.... was a rocket this weekend....took an unbelievable pounding for hours and came thru with only some minor repairs needed...obviously a lot of credit goes to the crew, but....everybody withdrew either due to damage or self preservation....we kept her on full throttle and she delivered beautifully!!
You have a pretty juiced and happy customer....you need to come sailing with us. Cheers

I have just completed the sale of a Beneteau 331 through the services of Vic McQuaide, Freedom Yacht Brokerage. I moved the boat from Newport Beach, where it had been for sale for two years, on November 1, 2005 (not ideal market timing). In less than two and one-half months the boat has been sold, for a very fair price, deal finished, check in hand. There were half-a-dozen messy little repairs and conditions that had to be performed, and Vic and his team got them done quickly and at very reasonable cost. Vic communicated frequently and thoroughly, and I learned that I could trust what he said. I just wish I had met him two years earlier. Mike Shepard January 14, 2006

Note of appreciation: Just deposited a check for the sale of my Trophy Bayliner; Thanks Vic. As we all know the happiest day in a mariner's life is "The day you buy the boat and the day you sell it." Large or small Vic McQuaide handles the transaction with outmost professionalism. After advertising on my own through several known publishing outlets and not having much success I contacted Freedom Yachts to broker my boat. Not being the right season and fish not yet biting I was preparing for a long trailer flooring stay. Much to my surprise with in a month the unit sold. Through out that time Vic was optimistic and kept me well informed of any possible future owners. Fortunately as much as we all at time want to sell a boat we want it to go to someone that will take future care of vessel. Well Vic you satisfied both worlds, you have a satisfied seller and a owner that is going to take care of the boat. Do appreciate all your time and efforts; Again much appreciated; thanks; Art Benavent

Vic, I very much appreciated you professionalism during the sale of my MacGregor 26x. Excellent transaction. I would highly recommend your services to anyone interested in buying or selling a boat. Sincerely, -- Michael Mills

11-30-2007 Client from Australia who purchased 2004 26’ Macgregor sight unseen- Finally got the boat in my hands Vic, after 26 days of hassle at the port this end. Our Ports are ruled by unions and nothing happens....mind you, had I taken a case of beer down (like I did with the 1st Mac....26X) it would have been all over in a couple of days, but this time I couldn't).....so my costs have blown out a bit. It is a very nice boat Vic, for the yr and the money, so you made a good choice and I am well happy with it. The buyer is coming out tomorrow to check out what he is paying for....he should not be disappointed....he is paying $10-15K less than he can buy one on the market here for. If he is not, then I will sell it to someone else for $5K more than he is paying. As I said, my profit is down, but it is pre sold, plus the experience was worth a hell-of-a-lot, so I am happy. We took it off the trailer, got the trailer back together (2hrs) and it is off for modifications on Monday morning. So Vic, thanks a lot for your effort. I am very pleased. Cheers Phillip

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN We purchased a MacGregor 26M, 2005 through Vic McQuaide of Freedom Yacht Brokerage in San Diego, USA. As we are based in Australia, Vic inspected the boat for seaworthiness to ensure specifications were as listed and offered a full report. We were very happy with the help, responses and prompt dealings with Vic McQuaide and have no qualms in recommending him to other purchasers. Best regards, Dirk Kuiper Melbourne, Australia
