Ted Hood designed this boat. He's the guy who won the Americas cup, designed and built over 6000 of his Little Harbor yachts, has his name on ALOT of sails and generally kicks butt when it comes to designing and sailing fast boats. The foundation of his career was firmly glassed in to the history books with his "Robin" series of boats. These designs proved that a shallow draft, wide beam, deep centerboard boat was fast and had excellent load carrying capacity while having a comfortable motion in heavy seas.
This is a center board boat that provides versatility. You can sneak into the shallow anchorages when comparable boats have to anchor way way out there. Board down she has 10'8" draft. Board up only 4'6". Try cruising the south pacific with any draft over 6' and you are going to be a long dinghy ride from the fun.
